This afternoon, I enjoyed visiting Whitakers Public House after a refreshing walk over the Chevin in search of a waterfall. The waterfall was a remarkable sight, and I was delighted to discover it. The new proprietor, Rob North, has achieved incredible things quickly. The restaurant was bustling at 75% capacity, with every patron enjoying a delicious meal. I couldn't resist indulging in a modest serving of nachos, and to my surprise, they rivalled the ones I had in Mexico back in 1997. Served warmly, the nacho chips were accompanied by guacamole, salsa, soured cream, and jalapenos. The service, atmosphere, and quality of the cuisine were impeccable. I also learned about some exciting plans for the beer garden, including live music events during the summer and special promotional nights. I want to thank Rob and the staff for breathing new life into The Whitakers Arms in Otley. How he reason I given this 4 stars is that there are quite a lot of signs saying no vaping but there was a person sat at the bar all the time I was there and she was vaping. Lady behind the bar not taking the slight bit of notice. But saying that nice pub and I'll be back again.

Wow, we called in and unfortunately the kitchen was closed, but they took it upon themselves to provide us with steak sandwiches and chips on the house. Thanks so much appreciated
Our table was close to the log burning stove so nice and warm, food was home cooked and sensibly priced. Had a good choice of real ales, lager and stouts to choose from. Food was served hot on a hot plate always a bonus on a winters day. Overall a great place for lunch and will definitely be going again. Highly recommended.Vegetarian options: The menu also caters for the vegetarian members yet a bit limited.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps on the way into the Whitakers so accessing should be no problem.

To my surprise, within 15 minutes of opening, the restaurant was already bustling with patrons, reaching its total capacity. Undeterred by the crowd, I eagerly ordered their famous chicken dinner, priced competitively at £9.99. The meal was a testament to their commitment to freshness, as it was prepared with an abundance of perfectly cooked vegetables. Nestled in the picturesque valley of Otley, concealed by the majestic Otley Chevin, this charming local eatery and public house exuded a welcoming atmosphere.
