As a key worker (with paperwork to prove!) I was refused a free sandwich because as the manager said I don’t deliver “roads”. Learn to understand the email you’ve been sent from head office then dictate who gets a free sandwich and who doesn’t. If it wasn’t for the likes of me there would be no sandwiches on the shelves.

Only gave 1 star as could not give zero. No outside toilets and doors are locked at 10pm, no exception. We were broken down and waiting 2 hours for RAC recovery in freezing temperatures. The cashier on duty was named Mark Williams and had the most disgraceful attitude for someone who works in customer service. The man had zero sympathy for our situation and did not feel it was inappropriate for there to be no available facilities at a so called service service and was more concerned for his company policy than anything else. He was also unwilling to disclose any contact details for customer complaints.

ONLY 1 STAR BECAUSE YOU'VE STOPPED SELLING LPG.\\nWhy oh Why did you remove the LPG pump from this site ? Do you realise just how far it is up the A1 to the next one ? - I bet the desision to do so was made by a man in a grey suit in an office in London who thinks LPG is for camping !\\nI'm just trying to think if there are any LPG pumps on the A1 in Yorkshire at all ? Thanks for nothing SHELL. ?

Great service station, that doesn’t rip you off! ... i use this garage on return journey from Kent to Glasgow as i do it twice a year... i used to use Moto Weatherby Services but the fuel there is nearly £1.50 a litre!!! ....
This Shell Garage is great and everytime i’ve gone in, the toilets are always available
Definitely not the cheapest petrol station in the area. Really nice friendly staff though!

Stopped here a couple of times in my truck poor customer service staff makes you wait outside in the cold for 10 mins then to tell you shes cleaning the coffee machines, would of been common sense to clean one at a time so customers can have a coffee on their break, will not be stopping here again complete joke
