Had the pleasure of dining here last night with friends. Even though we arrived late (little mistake on our part) we was seated and made to feel welcome. The food was divine the local lagers went well with the food. The lovely young lady who looked after us was happy to guide us through the mains. We will definitely be back, and on time. Lanes Ladybalk Fish & Chips

Had takeaway from Captains tonight via Just Eat. Beautifully cooked and delicious. The fish was huge and chips were lovely. I don't usually eat all my chips but did tonight. Really nicely presented in the box instead of being squashed, soggy and greasy. Will definitely order again.

Mamma Mia Pontefract

Its Faultless ?Food is as good as i have had.Its very reasonably priced.The service is very good.The place was buzzing and packed… great to see for the lovely owners who take alot of pride into the business.10/10

Been a few times with family for Sunday launch and evening meals, excellent food they have a pizza bar upstairs which is also very good worth going if you want a nice meal out.

Cromwells

Fantastic cafe. From entering to leaving the staff were very friendly, the food exceptional, coffee was good and even had cream with it and the inside really nicely laid out. Breakfast even had fried bread option and the prices were very reasonable. Cannot recommend more highly. We only spotted after a glance down the side passage but what a result.

Southgate Indian Restaurant & Takeaway

Visited as a group of five friends for the first time. The restaurant was spacious inside. The staff were all very welcoming, friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We all enjoyed our meals. The food was fresh and perfectly cooked. We would definitely recommend and will visit again.

Absolutely lovely staff! Especially fats! All the crew are amazing! Hilltop Sandwich Bar is a very short walk from Knottingley railway station and I would recommend paying a visit if you want some lunch and are in the area. I received a friendly greeting from the lady who served me and I was impressed with the wide range of products available. As well as hot and cold sandwiches they also serve panninis, burgers and salads. There are also hot and cold drinks to be bought. Excellent service!

Chip Pan

In my opinion the best in our area. The batter is always light and crispy and always great quality fish. The chips are also great quality potatoes and very tasty. Very clean and good service ?

Excellent food, excellent service - we had a lovely evening. The food was delicious; everything had its own distinct flavour which made it particularly enjoyable. The service was attentive but low key; always there when we needed them but not overbearing. Well done to you all.

Just had Sunday roast, proper roast beef loads of fresh vegetables, roasted potatoes and parsnip!Yorkshire puddings massive and tasty!I had nut roast, the best I’ve ever had!Tried not to order pudding ! But we could see them flying out of kitchen omg … chocolate fudge cake and ice cream amazing, sooo chocolatey, then the honeycombed cheesecake!Excellent value for money, staff obviously a very happy bunch, made us all so welcome!

Ego at The Beverley Arms, Ackworth

This was a good meal. Just good, not exceptional.Prefer Horbury Ego for ambience.Food is always good. Situated on a major road junction and car park is not big enough for everyone wishing to dine here.Better to eat after 8pm for dinner. Northerners eat early so busy from 5pm to 7pm.

New Jade City

Very helpful and will accommodate your wishes, I order regularly and I am very pleased with the service. I get mushroom foo young, chips and curry sauce. I love the curry sauce especially, not too spicy but full of flavour. The portions are generous and always tasty. Easiest way to order is online via the “New Jade City” Website, check it’s the Hemsworth one first though as there is another Jade City website for a Chinese down south somewhere. Just had one of the best Chinese meals ever from Yummy King. Perfectly cooked. You could tell someone spent time preparing good food not just rough cutting up veg. Evan the delivery driver had a smile. 10/10

Amazing food, first time we've ordered and honest, my number one take away in Ponte! Food is amazing got the burger meal and it came hot, and taste lush, I've tried so many milkshakes and not been a fan of them but I'm deffo a fan of these ones. Deffo recommend .

I was starving and needed a kebab to fill my hungry tummy, large portion size was perfect and the kebab was spectacularly tasty with nice crispy chips. Fresh crunchy salad although it would of been nice to have more salad. Defo best kebab in the area and all for a good price, very happy customer ?

First time ordering recently as we've just moved in and couldn't be bothered to cook after a long day of unpacking and moving furniture.Can I just say, it was incredible. We only ordered one large meal (with a salad included) to share and it was ample for both of us.Really tasty and hot even though it was delivered. (We looked on the map afterwards and realised that it's just down the road - oops, we'll collect in future).Really impressed and I think that we'll be ordering again and again. 10/10.

Fast delivery, food was piping hot.Sweet and sour chicken balls, the batter was crisp and delicious, the chicken was cooked well but there were a couple of hard ends on a couple of pieces.The sauce was very nice but didn't look too appealing.Pancake rolls were bloomin' massive! Crisp shell and jam packed, very nice too.Will definitely order again when I'm back in 'Ponty Carlo'.

Alleyc'zam Cafe & Bar

Visited this lovely cafe today. We received a warm welcome from Tracy the owner. It is fully accessible and has a well thought out accessible loo for a wheelchair with plenty of grab handles. It is also on one level. The cafe offers a delicious varied menu We had prawn sandwiches in warm ciabatta and salad and chips followed by chocolate cake. The coffee is delicious too ? The cafe has a lovely atmosphere with twinkling lights. Well done Team Tracey. We will return ?

Very nice clean tidy shop friendly staff, food cooked fresh whilst you wait. Good prices. I had a fishcake butty that was really tasty and filled a little hole for me. My 1st visit but if I'm in that area as gain I would definitely call in again.

We pulled into a large parking area after seeing the signage at the side of the road..The 2 staff were outside sat at a table enjoying the break between rushes..The place was clean and tidy...Prices and menus were presented well and no hidden extras..After ordering 2 full breakfasts we sat inside ( outside spaces are available) the food was cooked fresh so was piping hot when served..The food was of high quality and good portion sizes... very reasonable price for the quality of the product unlike most other small businesses in local area ....The staff were friendly and talkative and willing to help with information and directions..Was a good experience and would highly recommend to others .. will definitely go back when in the area..THANK YOU...Parking: Straight opposite in a courtyard so safe and secure..Kid-friendliness: Very friendly staff were willing to accommodate dietary needs.. safe area to sit both indoors and outside...

First time having a Chippy T from here after being recommended by a friend and couldn't fault it , service was excellent and the fish n chips n Yorkshire caviar ( mushy peas ) tasted superb and weren't greasy at all , certainly visit again . Service was very quick & efficient to serve up excellent food .
