To start with the positives. Staff were pleasant and car parking easy, probably because it was practically empty. After eating the food it quickly became evident why. Food was lukewarm and not value for money. We will not be back.

Our party of 3 booked for Christmas Dinner. We received a very warm welcome on arrival and were each given a choice of a glass of fizz or OJ.The table looked very festive with lovely placemats and Christmas crackers and the whole atmosphere was warm, cosy and festive.Staff were all very friendly and helpful especially the chef on the carvery section - he was really pleasant and chatty.The food was amazing - the tomato soup starter was really tasty. The meat and veggies were cooked to perfection and the mash potato was divine.Overall, a really lovely experience and it made our Christmas day very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Turnpike Knottingley for a Christmas day meal and, if we decide to eat out on Christmas day again, it would be my first choice for booking.Thank you to everyone involved, you did a fantastic job.

Friendly staff. Awful gristle filled steak ( mightve just got unlucky as my mates one was fine). If I'd visited the toilets first I wouldn't have eaten there. Filthy, stinking, disgusting. Like something from a 1960's communal outhouse.

Lovely breakfast and fantastic staff, especially Amy. She made us feel so welcome and really cared for our small kids. We enjoyed the breakfast and actually had an adult conversation with each other haha....as Amy made sure the kids were happy with food and colouring! Thanks again! Fabulous service ?

We were greeted by the team this morning and made to feel welcome. The staff were amazing especially Amy who went above and beyond for us. Buffet was lovely, and always plenty of food available. Lovely, clean restaurant. Will definitely stop here again on our travels.

My family and I Spent our first Christmas meal out ever!!! And we’d chosen Brewers fair Turnpike Knottingley.To say we had the best experience would be an understatement! this restaurant exceeded expectations.Right from the get go we were greeted by their concierge (Tony) who we can’t say enough about!!Tony met us at the waiting are without delay, he was Dressed immaculately, his welcoming personality shone through right away.Tony offer to take bags coats and anything else he could help with to the Bar area as we were a little early for our table,He left us with the brilliant bar staff who proceeded to serve us with professionalism and warm welcoming manner.As soon as our table was ready Tony came to show us to our table being as polite and friendly as anyone could be.Tony explained everything to us as it was a first time dining out on Christmas Day.He went through where to go what to do regarding choosing our meets veggies ect nothing was too much trouble for him.The whole time we were there we observed other families receiving the same courtesy as we were receiving snd that made us feel valued as customers.The whole experience of the afternoon was amazing, fun filled with Christmas crackers on your table, every detail to make the day special was on offer to us.The food was fresh hot and delicious.Very well presented we had more than enough to eat great shout out to the chef’s I can’t recommend the Turnpike Knottingley highly enough, it was everything and more than any of us expected.Our party of 11 consisted of 8 adults 3 under 2 years children and all of us left happy and full of the Christmas spirits literally due to Tony snd all the staff of the day.Big 5 STAR ⭐️ rating no question about it, we will now be avid customers to the Turnpike not just for Christmas but throughout the year!Kindest regardsMrs Sheena McGown and family ?Vegetarian options: GoodParking: Excellent

Came here today for the first time for a meal,Poor service, staff were rude and clueless. I asked for a cocktail at the bar and the staff member rolled their eyes and sighed at me ! Not only that they over charged me and wouldn’t refund what they had over charged. Food was okay not the worst but not the best , cheese burger and chips was like a kids portion and curry was very runny

Absolute shambles from start to finish drinks purchased to then told 40 minute wait on food due to big party. Fine. Ordered all food to come together. Starter came, on its own, no one cleared starter plate then told waitress that was cleaning table next to us that we ordered together to no avail. No check backs no communication absolute diabolical.Will not be frequenting anytime soon
