Cafes in Shipley

“A lovely tea room tucked away in Shipley. With a 1920s theme and homely feel, this is a very nice place to go for lunch or afternoon tea. All food is home made which makes such a difference to mass produced fare. The staff are pleasant and helpful and clearly a good experience for customers is their priority.”

“My friends and I came for brunch last week and we had a brilliant time! I used to live in Victoria Mills and the upgrades they have made to the bar and restaurant are just fantastic! It looks unique and modern and generally cozy. The food was great! It was fresh and delicious and we all enjoyed our meals. I got the huevos rancheros and I was so impressed. I’m from California and love Mexican food. The tortilla tasted authentic and homemade and my friend’s French toast looked fabulous. I’ll definitely be back to try to their Thai evening menu and am happy to recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a relaxed and tasty meal out at a reasonable price!”

“Couldn't recommend a day at Salts Mill enough. We had lunch at Salts Diner; which was well worth the queue for the lovely food and excellent service. The atmosphere in the diner itself along with the views from the window AND George's friendly service genuinely made our day and completed the experience. There was so much to browse in the antiques shop we probably could've spent a couple of days looking through the trinkets and collectibles. Also elsewhere in the mill had a great interaction with Graham who was working in the shop on the ground floor. Couldn't recommend it enough to someone who admires the work of David Hockney and good food.”

“Cheese type salad and Americano coffee £10.35. Cash only or bank transfer. Sat outside. Friendly staff. They said it was Turkish style. Clean place. Toilets downstairs also clean. Never been before. I would go again though. 2 men and one girl working there. You get a chocolate with the coffee.”

“Very small shop but some nice food , had a vanilla latte which was very good , I like the new Mexican vegan chicken free bake ( not sure why it mentions chicken if it doesn't contain it tho)”

“A good Costa, the drinks are really nice having a Costa card is handy, however the toilets are often unclean and they don’t do gluten free food which is a shameDietary restrictions: Don’t have gluten free options”

“Called for brunch today after a long walk into Shipley. It was my first time visiting this little cafe and overall I was very pleased. Our coffee was excellent. My husband enjoyed his eggs on toast which were well cooked and my toasted teacake was perfect. The service was good and the toilets are nice and clean. It is more expensive than the supermarket cafes but I much prefer to support independent businesses. I would return.”

“Best place to eat in saltaire! Large portions, amazing prices, both sweet and savoury options, and most importantly really lovely staff. Highly recommend if you’re visiting salts mills - skip their long restaurant queue and come here!”
