“I was one of their very first customers when they opened around 1991 and for many years regularly enjoyed their meals at least once a week. Having since moved out of the area I was there last week so called in again. The meal was as good as ever and I asked the friendly guy was it still the original owners. To my surprise yes the same family. Is the guy who used to serve me still alive? Oh! my grandad yes and described him he's retired now but still active. Thought I'd test him does his son still support the same football team (as I do), yes again Newcastle United. What a great family business. I had many a chat with the original lads and plenty of banter over 30 years ago and it appears its not changed. The shop has now updated but service and food still excellent. Keith”
