Stopped here for a sausage for the dog and bacon and egg sandwiches for use very hand if you are going around new miller dam.
Nice cafe, at newmillerdam, nowt fancy, but ordinary food, great ? chips. And a decent view. Been going to this cafe for over 25 years, hasn't changed. Long may it continue.
Well cooked and presented, very tasty

Always a pleasure to visit this lovely cafe straight opposite from Newmiller Dam lake. Numerous red hot cups of tea, delicious toasties and pie and peas, flapjacks and other sweet treats, lovely pitstop on a walk

Great cafe with warm service. Plenty of options with good prices, cafe has a great nostalgic feeling, the type you can imagine your grandparents going to back in the day.
Called in at the weekend - needed a sandwich for my walk... service excellent - the cooked breakfasts looked fab... anyway, I was provided with a "superb" ham, cheese and pickle sandwich... one of the best I have ever had... thanks !!
Atrociously run down, I don’t mind supporting small family run businesses that actually have something to offer however the poor service that comes with it was even worse, I was served one hard egg on 2 door stopper size teacakes with what looked like stork margarine. Not provided a menu, nor condiments, worst “yorkshire” tea I've ever been served. If you’re wanting nice, you could make better at home for cheaper. Convenience is the only way I think this place is running.
Can the young blonde girl serving at the till please learn some customer service skills? She was abrupt and very unfriendly. This place could be lovely if they moved away for the run down cafe vibes and modernised it.
Good honest food at realistic price.
