Just a random call into one of the Horbury pubs. I've visited the Shepherds arms on many occasions before. But after a busy and rainy day, also early for the local school run. What a pleasure it was!Greated with a smile from staff, what quickly attended to are every needs. From seating choice in the front restaurant or in the back bar area where we could also eat. Drenched not feeling, best dressed. We chose the bar area and what an enjoyable afternoon it was. A pound coin brought over by a member of staff for the juke box, 'near the pool table and open fire' was such a lovely gesture. I definitely did enjoy it. We decided to stay for tea. Cheese burgers and home made chips for two with no complaints. Brilliant service and the cornbeef hash with homemade Yorkshire pudding again was amazing just like a good old family Yorkshire home. Thankyou to all staff.

Food is second to none. Portion sizes too big for me but my family always clear their plates.Dietary restrictions: Can accommodate any allergies.

Food was lovely and came quickly, once you managed to order. Getting someone to take the orders was very slow going. It appeared that one waitress was doing all of the jobs on the floor. I hope that's not the norm as we would all come back again for the food, comfort and pricing :)

Having visited a few months ago for a fabulous game casserole I brought a group of 16 for a soup and sandwich lunch. Great friendly service so thanks to the whole team.
