Very disappointed, third time returning and defiantly will not be coming back. Came for Sunday dinner, we had to Que for about 25 minutes, as they only had one person on the meat. Then had to wait 20 minutes due to there being no gravy. Overall, for the quality of the food it was extremely poor. The bill came to £81, and all I got was 2 thin cut meats, and some potatos, carrots, Brussels sprouts and cauliflower. You needed a chainsaw to cut through the veg. Service was okay, but this restaurant defiantly needs some TLC!

Great breakfast here just before Christmas. We were just about the first in. Got a cup of tea and then self service breakfast. You help yourself to as much as you want and can go back for more. The only let down was that they are pretty slow to restock the food as they don't put out a huge amount to start with. When there's a lot of people then you'll have to wait for the food to be cooked.Excellent Yorkshire puddings and gravy -bit weird for a full English I know, but it works a treat!

Food was good value and plentiful. Staff were very friendly and accommdating. The toilets leave a lot to be desired. My partner went to the men's and said it was disgusting. Dirty toilet paper and urine all over the floor.Parking: Parking easily available

How is this even possible? Me and my partner went up for a all you can eat breakfast. They had no sausages, no mushrooms , no eggs except for one slimey one. Are their cooks not capable of food management? You see its at a certain level, cook more, it's not rocket science. Bacon seemed to be from hardly cooked to burnt to a crisp, the hash browns nearly broke my teeth. Guy working out front didn't seem to care , He was to busy getting fizzy friends for the cooks who can't cook.

OK this is kinda what you might expect from Toby, not the greatest bit peaved as we asked about specials when we were seated ~ to be told about the children eat for £1 - thats great yes please then gave us 3 adult plates ( we didn't know; wasn't made clear so voiding the offer) just shy of £40 for 3 soft drinks and a main meal for two adults and 1 child. Not cheap and cheerful thats for sure!More like mid week miserable and mean...

The Manager and his team worked very hard to keep everyone happy and a great Xmas day time was had by all, considering the Amesbury Carvery was packed full they did a wonderful job, give them all a bonus, they deserve it.

Went there for breakfast this morning. Been multiple times before the scamdemic and to put it bluntly...shocking . Half a hotplate being utilised had to reach to the back of hotplate for some of the selection.waiting for staff to replenish foods that had run out . Yorkshire puds were like solid balls of rock hard dust bacon wasn't cooked properly no black pudding tomatoes were that chopped you could call it soup you get the idea. Unfortunately lowest rating for food is a 1 star I would actually give it a zero if I could

The staff were polite and efficient. However their was no toilet paper in any of hhe ladies cubicles. I mentioned this to a member of staff who said she would deal with it.We all went to the toilets before we left and their was still no toilet roll.So 3 hours after I'd told them it still wasn't done. Also the males in our party witnessed very dirty toilets with unclean bowls to urine on the floor. Again this was not very pleasant for them.

We had a nice time as a family, but being the last table in it was evident that the staff wanted to get home so didn’t feel relaxed at all for a Christmas dinner. It felt rushed and almost like we shouldn’t be there.

First time ever visit to the restaurant in Amesbury, one week before Christmas 2023. We were served quickly and chose to have a roast dinner. The queue for the server was at least 10 people. The sprouts weren’t cooked and the stuffing was dried up and looked unappealing. The cauliflower cheese tasted like water. The staff were pleasant and friendly but personally we were disappointed with the food.

Friendly staff who found us a table even though we arrived nearly an hour before our booked time due to less traffic than anticipated on our journey west. Food was the usual good standard but in recent times the food has not been hot enough and certainly the gravy that used to be very hot is now luke warm at the serving point - is this health and safety gone mad? What has happened to the Meerkat Meals participation, this seems have suddenly disappeared? Still good value though.

Went on a Sunday evening and as you would expect it was very busy. We managed a last minute table for tea around 5ish. Food was as you would expect, could have been slightly better but still good value for money.

Roast potatoes and meat were lovely and tasty. Veg had been sat there a long time and dauphinois potatoes and macaroni cheese was dried out.2 young ladies on carvery came out with a big bin while we were eating and were scraping off cuts into it. Was very off putting. The ladies toilet was disgusting!!!! Not been cleaned for a long time. Thick dust, wee all over floor and toilet rim.

If you want a little more restaurant atmosphere and slightly better carvery the Holiday Inn on the same location is also excellent. I don't think they do take away though. However the Toby carvery is superb value for money and the take away tub is huge (you also get a separate bag for roast potatoes!). We thoroughly enjoyed our take away roast - my mum has limited mobility and the takeaway gave her a lovely roast cooked by someone else with none of the hassle of going out!It was easy to order at the bar then you take your receipt to the carvery where they give you the takeaway tub which they add the meat to then you help yourself to veg just like the eat in option. There was a choice of pork, gammon, turkey and beef or a mix. Then roast potatoes with gravy or plain. Macaroni cheese, red cabbage, sprouts, deliciously sweet carrots, peas and creamed potatoes. Probably more I've forgotten. At the end is more gravy and sauces. The round tubs are easy to carry in a big paper bag they provide. If you fill the tubs you are unlikely to eat it all! We will be having bubble and squeak tomorrow from the leftovers!Top marks to Toby take away option - will definitely do this again!Wheelchair accessibility: all on the flat so great for wheelchair access!
