Menu has a good selection so even fussy individuals are likely to find something they will like.
Whole place is nicely decorated and clean.
Definitely worth recommending.

Mid Summer Pl, Amesbury, SalisburyFood was great and the atmosphere was nice. However the main takeaway was the great service by Chloe. Despite working Boxing Day she was friendly, polite and made for a pleasant experience all around. My fiancée even remembered her from last time as the “kind waitress”!

Tandoori Nights
26 High St, Amesbury, SalisburyWe contacted Tandoori Nights around 5 pm and were warmly welcomed and accommodated at short notice. The service was attentive and efficient, especially appreciated as we were very hungry.
The food was excellent. The chicken tikka in vindaloo sauce was full of flavour, the Peshwari naan freshly made, and the portions generous.
Amesbury is fortunate to have such a wonderful restaurant. It is no surprise that Tandoori Nights has been crowned Best in the South West 2025. Excellent food and service throughout

But the toilets need an upgrade. One toilet stall in the ladies I couldn't get locked. The other the toilet seat is so loose you almost slip off when you sit down. Hazard for my little girl.
Will visit again to see what it's like for food.

Amesbury, SalisburyDuring dinner, I went to bar and asked bartender if they have a local draft beer. At first he recommended Stonehenge Ale, which was only in bottle, so I choose Worthington's Creamflow. He said he'd let me try it in a small glass because i might not like it. Fortunately I loved the beer and enjoyed a pint of it with my dinner. How kind of him.

There was plenty of tables to choose from however and you can happily have a conversation without shouting over the noise. Service was on the slow side which resulted in a large crowd waiting for thier orders. If the had one more member of staff behind the counter, I think things would flow a lot better.

Toby Carvery Amesbury
Mid Summer Pl, Amesbury, SalisburyVisited the Toby Carvery in Amesbury at 12:30, with 3 adults and 1 baby, and overall it was a really solid experience.
The food was spot on. Exactly what you want from a carvery, well cooked and satisfying. The service deserves a mention too, attentive and friendly without being overbearing. None of that awkward “is everything okay?” every 30 seconds, which made the meal feel relaxed and enjoyable.
Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes and quality.
If I had to pick a negative, it would be the mash potato, a bit bland and lumpy, but honestly, that’s a minor gripe in an otherwise very good meal.
Would happily return and recommend it
