“Great selections for Sunday lunch (the trout with potatoes for me; butterfly prawns for wife; and lamb/beef roasts for our sons). We booked ahead and even so were informed it would be a little while for food to come out - very good to be let known so we didn't rush our incredible, "grandmother's secret recipe" Hatchet ale (highly recommended). The pub atmosphere was superb - warming wood fire, historic paraphernalia decorations, a funky 2-in-1 picture, ...There is a spacious area outside with pic-nik tables for warmer/dryer days. The very busy staff were forever friendly and welcoming even with the full house. Recommended.Food & drinks: The pub's very own Hatchet Ale: Highly Recommended!”
