“We we were staying on holiday in the area and decided to try a meal here. The menu offers interesting and more extensive choices than the usual pub menu. The dining room was cosy and traditional in style. I chose confit duck and my friend that day’s special, fish stew. We both had creme brûlée to finish which came with a sable biscuit, a blackcurrant compote and a slice of orange, apple and strawberry. Everything was cooked to order, well presented, generous in amount with good quality ingredients. We would heartily recommend Bell on The Common based on our experience.”
