Visited for late breakfast while visiting my daughter for the weekend. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and a great breakfast for a reasonable cost.

Lovely place to eat and a bit of shopping. Great breakfast menu and a great team.

Dreadful first off shown to a table so close to the next I could smell the persons perfume. As to be moved and all seemed too much trouble. Eventually was given a different table but no one came to take our order so after almost 25 minutes we left. The place needs trained staff and more of them. My advice would be to

There's table service? Not for us.Wanted to go to Merkins but due to floods ended up here.Arrived here during the change of breakfast to lunch menu, not very busy and plenty of staff. Told it was table service.Sat down for a bit, 15 minutes in and no one had bothered to ask about drinks, other customers were being served fine.Wondered up to the till to order drinks - again no one acknowledged us.Staff member wondered up to us and asked if we were sat at table 15. Took our drink order and said they'd be back for food order after change over was at 12 noonAnother 25 minutes passed and no one took our order. New customers rocked up, sat down next to us and had their food order taken within 5 minutes.Wondered back up to the till to pay for our drinks and left.Don't bother coming here if you're wearing camo (we weren't) as you won't get seen and served.Merkins is 15 minutes up the road.

Having Christmas lunch at wadwicks, and it's so good I have stopped halfway through to put this review on! Everything is cooked to perfection! Staff so polite and friendly despite being busy. My husband had the burger which was also super tasty and very full of meat! Definitely well recommend!

Nice food but service after the main course was dismal. We wanted to order dessert, but after half an hour of being overlooked by staff, I went up to the till to order and was told to be seated and someone would be over shortly. After a further 10 minutes of waiting we gave up.I appreciate it was busy, but it falls short of the standard I have previously experienced and consequently expected of Wadswick.

Great for meals anytime but breakfast? Well if you are lucky enough to have their French toast you are in for a treat. Simply delicious, home made brioche with maple syrup and bacon, got to be the nicest one I have tasted. Always a pleasure eating here.

A good Sunday roast is a rare breed these days, and often you have a good one somewhere and then a few months later for whatever reason, it's disappointing. Let's hope that doesn't happen to Forage, something of a hidden gem for Sunday lunch just outside Corsham. The restaurant itself is stunning. You get used to the idea of a Sunday roast in some fusty dark pub, but this is all light and airiness, with a lovely Mediterranean-style terrace area (in the right weather!). I had the half chicken and my husband had the beef. The chicken was very juicy and his beef was perfectly rosy. Everything was seasoned to perfection so no need to reach for the salt and pepper. One of my pet peeves about mediocre Sunday roasts is that the roast potatoes are not done properly. These were proper crispy fresh roasties. Veg on the side was excellent - crisp tenderstem broccoli, cauliflower cheese, roast parsnips, buttered carrots, and (slightly overly sweet) braised red cabbage. The gravy was very nice and they served extra in a jug without you having to ask - a nice touch. The staff were efficient and friendly. It wasn't cheap but I don't mind paying for quality food and service. I'm keen to go back and see if the rest of the menu is as good as the Sunday roast!
