Excellent. The fish and chips were first class, probably the best we have had in a very long time, nice crispy batter and firm tasty fish.

The Sunday roast was very good but their way of preparing and serving the vegetables was not to our taste. They appeared to be virtually un-cooked and served in a sharing bowl. As I say, not to my liking. The young girl who served us was polite and friendly, making sure that everything was in order. I would definitely go back again.

Managed to get a booking, very lucky, for Mother's Day. And wow we were spoilt.Fantastic day! The man playing his guitar was nice entertainment. The staff were very attentive. Service was at a good speed, we didn't wait long for anything. Great selection of drinks available especially none alcoholic drinks! Normally there is only 1 option, Ciaran has put plenty in bar for people to choose from.I got to meet Sharon, the new manager. She was lovely and couldn't do any more for you if she tried. Her team were on point. The food was just wow! Really impressed, but what surprised me more what the price! Brilliant quality for a reasonable price! The menu they had available for Mother's Day was very elegant and tasteful! But we all stuck with roast dinners. But after talking to Sharon I am looking forward to trying some of the dishes going on to the normal menu. And can't wait for the 1st April for their new menu launch!Vegetarian options: Vegan and Vegi options clearly highlighted on the menuDietary restrictions: Different codes on the menu to show different dietary requirementsKid-friendliness: Play are out back, Sharon told us about it.Colouring packsBrilliant children menu, with healthier options available. Not just fried food.Wheelchair accessibility: I saw a couple of wheeel chairs and the staff are supportive and helpful as much as they can with out being over baring

We had a lovely experience with the Boathouse for Mother's Day.The staff were very attentive, giving attention to everyone. It was incredibly busy. The manager made her way around the room saying hi and talking to everyone. It was nice to see. The live music was a really nice touch along with the free Gin and Tonic. I know the mummies on my table were made to feel special for our day. The menu was full of different options and flavours. It was a really nice menu. The roast that came out looked fantastic and everyone at the table loved them. I had the new seabass dish and was not disappointed. The flavour was fantastic. Very nice!I want to say thank you. Thank you to the new team at The Boathouse for making our day and making it incredible special.Vegetarian options: Vegi and Vegan options highlighted on the menuDietary restrictions: Allergies handled with decorum and proffessionalKid-friendliness: Good children's menuPlay areaColouring stuff for at the tablesWheelchair accessibility: 2 big double doors that would easily allow wheel chairs in

The lady behind the bar was lovely and got a bowl of water and treats for our dog which was lovely. Sadly everything else was terrible. Took an hour for food to arrive and when it did it got sent straight back. Ordered the sausage and mash and the sausages had no colour on them and I mean NO colour so suspect they had been microwaved. They didn't even look cooked. Swapped for fish and chips and the fish was nothing like the images on other reviews. More like Birds Eye frozen fish that had been reheated - flat, greasy and soggy. I'm guessing the usual chef doesn't work on Monday or Tuesday which is why you can't book tables online and they just reheat food. The chips also weren't properly cooked and had no seasoning on them. We left extremely disappointed and went to the local Sainsbury's to get dessert.

Food was lovely, although having fish and chips I swapped the chips for salad, I did expect a little more than a small pile of salad leaves - maybe a little cucumber and tomato. The desert menu is quite small and if you’re not a sticky sweet, chocolatey person then it’s lemon posset which I wouldn’t normally have gone for, but it was nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Boathouse closed at 9pm, which we didn’t realise until everyone else had left and we were still chatting.
