Good food & friendly service, as there are no soft furnishings to soak up the noise it was quite loud.

It was a lovely day and we just wanted a drink, counted 13 tables empty outside and with water on most of them, but was refused because we were not eating....I thought the hospitality industry was struggling ?

Visited a few times, once at Lunch time and also in the evening, Lunch time the food felt freshly made, the evening it was not nice, just warmed up food, the Pizzas were good but if you are going to a restaurant you want freshly made food, its all warmed up food made the day before. Also the toilet looked like it had not been cleaned in a long long time, and the staff were using it, so if basic hygiene is low in there what is it like in the kitchen.Could be a great place but it felt Lazy and like a cheap cafe, all a bit grungy and needs improvement.

The service was absolutely appalling . The waitress who served us was rude, arrogant and unhelpful, particularly with advice regarding gluten free options (my wife has celiac disease).Within a couple of minutes of finishing the starter, the main course was served. There was a complete lack of respect for us, customer care and common sense, in the context of giving us some time to digest the starter and the chance to have a drink.I should have realised from the beginning that this restaurant was not a good choice when I observed the cooks not wearing hair nets in the kitchen. That’s evidently poor hygiene practice. It felt like: get them in, serve mediocre food, and get them out as quickly as possible.Because of the shoddy service we refrained from having dessert and left. It was the first time having a meal in that restaurant. It will certainly be the last.Avoid this restaurant. Absolutely appalling experience

Looks like a great location in the summer. Good selection and size proportions. Some 'unusual' combinations compared to other Italian restaurants. Everyone has to adapt. Beer on tap-which is a bonus. Good service and tasty food-what else do you need? It wa sgood enough to make us want to come back to BOA just to sit outside the restuarant in the summer .

WOW… came here today for Sunday lunch and OMG this was by far the best Sunday lunch we have had out.. the food was absolutely delicious I had the roast chicken and my husband had the roast beef which he asked to be well done and our friend also had the chicken… it was served with the most delicious roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, sweet roasted parsnips, carrots, green beans and cauliflower cheese, along with red cabbage which was also delicious and I don’t normally like red cabbage but it sweet and had sultanas in it and topped off with the most amazing meaty gravy…. We also had desserts I mean why not!!! I had banoffee pie so did my friend and my husband had sticky toffee pudding and again WOW amazing desserts. This is not our first time here as we have been with various friends because the food is so good… we’ve had the pasta dishes and pizzas in the past and always enjoy the food. In the summer you can also sit outside and you’re almost transported to a beautiful European sitting overlooking the river, and a huge mention to the lovely staff that work there, very helpful and extremely friendly…

Found a HAIR in our food. None of the chefs wear hair nets or hats! A sweaty man in the middle. On display for all to see.We just wanted to leave after that incident, but we felt awkward. It ruined our day out. We seem to struggle to find clean venues with flavoursome food and this is another one in the endless chain / bottomless pit of poor value.Pizza toppings were bland / flavourless. Run by Italians in an expensive area..... I don't understand it. Why isn't the pizza exceptional? Why didn't they use quality toppings.I wouldn't recommend it. If we can find hair, what else is in there? The sad thing is, the coffee shop near by would have offered better food and value for money. Never again.
