Lovely old building parts of it dating back to the 1100s.Hotel rooms within the main building are very luxurious. There are 2 duplex 'units' in a converted barn outside the main building. They are very well 'appointed' they even have wood burning stoves in the lounge area.

We stayed here just after xmas for 2 nights. Arrived quite late after an awful journey in the dark and heavy rain. So just wanted to relax and enjoy a cosy evening meal. But were told the chef had left so we had to go out in bad weather to look for somewhere to eat down dark country lanes we didn't know. And the same on the second night. Surely there should of been another chief to step in at times like this. We paid a fair amount so we're also quite disappointed in our very small and dark room. We went in the bar for a drink. Me not being a drinker wanted a coffee. But was told they had no milk to make me one. also no ketchup for our breakfast. This may of all been as the owners were away and was close to Xmas. But it wasn't cheap to stay so no excuse really...we went away to relax but got home feeling quite stressed. I must say though. The young bar man in the afternoon was lovely and tried to accommodate as best he could. And lady serving breakfast was great too. Not sure we'd stay again though as we were quite dissapointed ?

We were desperate for a cup of coffee and took a chance seeing the Kings Arms signposted from the main road. We were made welcome and the coffee was great!Noteworthy details: This is a pub with a history, well worth a visit.

Just home from a fab stay at The Kings Arms. We were given an upgrade to the King's room, it is HUGE. I'd pay the extra for this room next time, though I'm sure the other rooms are beautiful too. The room was spotlessly clean, the linen beautiful and of good quality and the bed and furniture extremely comfortable. The staff were all amazing, friendly, helpful and attentive. We don't consider ourselves high maintenance guests but I get the feeling that nothing would have been too much trouble. The food. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had a beautiful meal. We opted to have our main first followed by a starter which was no trouble at all. The food was tasty and beautifully presented. Several cuts above your standard pub grub though there was a burger or fish and chips on the menu too. Breakfast was excellent. Quality food, cooked, presented and served by staff who clearly care.My husband and I rarely visit a place twice, just because we like to try new places, but have both agreed we would like to come here.
Lovely experience staying to visit the Bath Christmas Markets. Staff were warm and welcoming. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a cosy and comfortable stay on the outskirts of Bath.

We went for dinner. The Chef Ross made us delicious fish and chips even though they weren't actually on the menu for that evening. The Cermenere wine was delicious as was the Calamari to start. A lovely peaceful ambience can always be found here. Victoria is brilliant, very professional and friendly, she looked after us amazingly well. The espresso martinis we ordered did not disappoint! We will be back very soon, as always love coming here. Keep up the good work, it shows that your heart is in it!

Appalling from start to finish. Unclean rooms, hairs in bed, dust. Food was mediocre, prices not so.When complained to portly bar person, Chris, we got a couldn't care less reply.Really? We will not return. We did find a nice place in heart of Bradford on Avon, cheaper and so much more. Our advice is this, nothing to see here
