We had a tremendously good lunch here today-the food was quite delicious, the staff were very friendly and helpful-I’d say it’s probably one of the best lunches I’ve had in quite some time….so to give you a clue we both had the pork-this sounded really lovely and we were not disappointed-pork belly, tenderloin,a faggot and a ham hock croquet with mashed potato and roasted cauliflower with a delicious jus and a slice of pickled apple( which I ate immediately with a piece of pork and when the waiter came to ask how our lunch was I asked if he could possibly get me another piece-which he did??) For dessert we shared the passion fruit crème brûlée which came with a passion fruit sorbet and some chocolate soil…..the focaccia we had at the start of the meal was superb and the coffee was also excellent -we do enjoy both cooking and eating-one of life’s pleasures and it’s abundantly clear the chef absolutely loves food too-a great display of cooking books from the greats sort of got me thinking it would be a good lunch…….also worth noting the drinks menu-some lovely wines, soft drinks and cocktails both alcoholic and non alcoholic. I finished off with a mocha which was hot chocolatey but not too sweet. Bradford on Avon is most definitely worth a visit and I’d say you would be foolish to miss out on a great experience if you didn’t also pop in to the bunch of grapes for some sustenance while there… Thanks for lunch and as Arnie says “ we’ll be back”…..

Loved their Sunday roast. One of the best I’ve had in bath this year. The beef was cooked to perfection!!!! The starters were very posh - they have a fancy menu with a variety of unique options you usually wouldn’t see elsewhere. So it was nice to try something new!

Took 15 minutes before they took our drinks order, and a further 20 minutes to bring us only one of the two drinks we ordered. Had to go up to the bar to get the second drink. Food was great. Got our bill wrong and tried to overcharge us. Quality kitchen with unacceptable front of house - especially for the prices they charge.

Stumbled upon this restaurant while staying nearby, it was a rainy early evening when we went in. The young lady behind the counter was pleasant enough, informing us we could order from the menu if we did so immediately, limited choice, but had a Sunday Roast. A different, sullen waitress brought our meal which I must say was beautifully cooked, pricey for what it was with a service charge added on, how pretentious. The original young lady came to see if we wanted dessert, the choice was sadly uninspiring but she politely chatted with us, she was warm & friendly, Robyn you are a little diamond as front of house, your cheerfulness & knowledge as we discussed menus was inspiring, I hope the owners, management realise they are lucky to have you. Thank You for turning a rather flat evening into an enjoyable one.

We were visiting my daughter and family for the weekend. My daughter had heard that The Bunch of Grapes had a good reputation and knowing that I was a bit of a foodie booked a table. Initially when we arrived we were attended to for our drinks and nibbles order. Then it all went horribly wrong. The drinks arrived - (no nibbles) and it was as if we were invisible - completely ignored. My daughter and son-in-law over the next hour or more independently asked (politely) if we might have some service which eventually arrived. It effectively took almost 2 hours for a one course meal. Occasionally things go wrong. I understand that. But it's how they are then rectified. When we went to pay our bill we quietly voiced our complaint and was advised by the woman (who I assume was the manager on that evening) that she had deducted the (discretionary) service charge and one glass of wine which seemed pretty miserable compensation for the frustration and excessive delay. After further discussion the manager, unapologetically and reluctantly deducted the cost of one more glass of wine. Having worked in customer facing positions all my life I found her attitude to be both extraordinarily rude and totally unacceptable. The two stars are for the quality of the food that eventually arrived. Zero stars for service and attitude.

The food was outstanding. Full of flavour, rich, perfectly cooked; the chef put so much thought into everything so there wasn’t anything on the plate that didn’t contribute to the overall dish.

Our first visit to the Bunch of Grapes. Rather underwhelming. Limited menu on a Sunday evening. No information on menu as regards gluten free options or allergies. Asked about gluten free - food arrived before confirmation given. And one dish - ‘sorry this isn’t gluten free’ but served to us anyway and billed regardless. Wine - expensive for what it was. Staff not attentive - more interested with cleaning up than keeping eye on customers. Not giving a great atmosphere. No phone coverage. Asked for wifi code so we could book our taxi home - not forthcoming. All in all, a rather disappointing ( but expensive) meal out

Excellent all around. Food and drink choices are top quality, whilst totally unpretentious. We wish this was closer to home to visit more frequently. Dog friendly (do let them know when booking).

Came here with some colleagues on our lunch. Great fast efficient service. We enjoyed it so much we stayed for the whole afternoon. Place was very busy

Just a lovely start to the morning. We had a full English and, Crushed Peas, Avocado and Mint on Toast with Poached Eggs. Both were delicious; beautifully presented and we had a most pleasant waitress. The place is unpretentious and its Michelin star is very obviously for the quality of its food. The breakfast was well priced at £30 with a coffee. 12.5. % tip is included. Limited parking nearby and located up a hill.

Had a lovely special birthday celebration meal last weekend. Parking in Bradford is very difficult but we were lucky as we were dropped off by our airbnb host , on arrival we were advised to there and then book a taxi for return as it was very busy, we did and all worked out fine. We were able to mix and match the 5 course tasting menu ( x 2 ) with A La Carte ( x2 ) , all was lovely and the servers did their very best to ensure courses coincided as much as they could. All the courses were great and portions certainly not small . The Lamb and Fish dishes were particularly good. Service was well paced neither too quick nor too slow and we were bang on for taxi time just under 3 hours after arriving. There was a mix up over our wine order when red was initially served instead of Rose but this was replaced without charge ( and I think we ended up with an extra bit!). The cost was £280 for 4 ( including service and a good few drinks) which was good I felt for the quality we received. Not sure this place would be accessible for mobility impaired people, we were up 2 flights of stairs , but I think the same does for hilly Bradford as a whole. The restaurant looks very small from the outside but is deceptively spacious inside with the upstairs seating.

Sunday roast was as delicious as ever. Every item on the plate is so skilfully cooked and every mouthful savoured! Special thanks to the chefs for making me a gluten free Yorkshire Pudding, much appreciated. Though my husband was disappointed as he was hoping to have mine!! Booking in again soon

We never go out for Sunday dinner as we are always let down and enjoy our meal at home so much more. However, it was a special occasion so we decided to book at the Bunch of Grapes. WOW!!! it was absolutely delicious!!! Not a let down at all and although not better than my mums; no one can ever beat your mum's roast, it was on par. So refreshing to go out for a roast where the veg isn't cooked within an inch of its life. The meat was so tender and tasty. I'd definitely recommend and we'll be back. It was busy but the service was attentive and prompt. A very rude table were behind us but that had no reflection on the restaurant and the staff were very polite towards them, I think I would have struggled! Great place and huge asset to BOA!

What a lovely place! We popped in for an early morning coffee and what a warm welcome we had. We arrived with toddler in tow and a clumsy mummy (knocked over a wine glass!) But the woman who served us was so lovely, nothing was too much. It's not somewhere we would normally take our toddler into as it looked too nice but so glad we did! We didn't have food but only because we hadn't expected to find anywhere open so had already eaten. The menu looked delicious though and will definitely be a place we will go for food when we return to the area! Thankyou for making us feel so welcome.Kid-friendliness: The woman who served us was wonderful with our 2 year old!

My husband booked a table for two for a Sunday evening during our stay in Bradford-on-Avon as part of a birthday celebration and received a confirmation email. We were looking forward to the five-course taster menu, clearly advertised on the website as being available on Sundays. The day before our visit we received an email reminder but when we arrived the young lady we spoke to seemed unable to find our reservation. She told us the restaurant was closed and the taster menu was unavailable then checked with the chef. She also went to speak to the manager but said our only option was to order from the roasts menu in the bar. At no point did the manager come to speak to us to explain and apologise. The young lady was polite but clearly uncomfortable and unsure of how to deal with a difficult situation that was the responsibility of management. We decided to go elsewhere and were fortunate to find a table in another restaurant at short notice. I contacted the Bunch of Grapes via its website to outline our disappointment at our reservation being overlooked and the advertised menu being unavailable but received no reply. Restaurants rightly expect customers to act considerately and fulfil bookings but, equally, customers deserve to know that advertised information is correct and reservations are respected. To disregard our reservation in such a cavalier manner and be unwilling to make a courteous apology seems arrogant.
