Its a Wadworth pub so their real ale isn't the best. However, the beer is always fresh and they do really good food.

Met with friends after 2 years of Covid. Food was excellent. Unfortunately for us service not up to standard. I personally come from a hospitality world. Am a Tour Manager. The young lady who served us ,lovely, but not up to hospitality standard Details matter !! A glass with lipstick on one side. Wine unacceptable, open bottle, not up to standard. Steak, no steak knife . All of these details matter in a hospitality world. Especially in a world going forward from Covid.

Stopped in for a quick drink on route to dinner. Nice cosy pub with a relaxing atmosphere. Big TV as well if you want to watch the sport

Wandered around the town looking for something to eat during the evening. Found the Dandy Lion. We had a great welcome from the staff who couldnt do enough for us. Lucy was a credit to the pub and an excellent ambassador. We ordered food from a varied selection of meals and it was served promptly. Overall a great experience and will be returning to watch the rugby. Very grateful to all the staff for great service.

We were looking for somewhere to eat while staying in the area. After trawling many different places and menus we settled with The Dandy Lion. We both had the Sirloin steak and some onion rings and peppercorn sauce as extras. The steak was fantastic and cooked just right for both of us. The onion rings were also delicious with a light crispy batter and made fresh definitely not frozen. The service was excellent and staff were very friendly and a credit to the pub which has a great atmosphere. Only down side was neither of us had room for dessert. Good honest pub grub done really well. Would recommend eating here. Can’t wait to return.

Well what can l say! Bradford on Avon, l wish l could call this my home. This pub was recommended when we were ready to rest our weary legs, we were not prepared for the steep inclines! Not usually one to leave reviews, but felt this pub was worthy. We hadn’t booked, but this wasn’t a problem. A lovely welcome, great food and prompt service! We’ll definitely be back
Haven't been there for a good while but it used to be reliable for a nice drink, atmosphere and food. Went last Saturday night, didn't have the selection of wine and other drinks ie tonics having run out, which I was prepared to tolerate but when we tried to order food there was a queue, nearly 7.55 pm and they said no hot food, kitchen closes to orders at 8pm. When asking options staff gave a roll of eyes, we weren't rude, just asking if we could have a cheeseboard. We were allowed those, whilst eating we saw people behind us in the queue be served hot food. Cheeseboards were very mediocre, a disappointing experience and won't be hurrying back.

Great to see the dandy lion back to its old self. Staff always very friendly. We had the homemade pie which was delicious and the biscoff cheesecake was to die for. Will defiantly be back to watch the rugby, TVs were a great addition.

Seen on Instagram that this pub now had TVs for the rugby, it’s always been a favourite when we visit Bradford on Avon from bath. Came in last Saturday to watch the rugby. What an atmosphere. Never had too long to wait to get a drink at the bar even when they were very busy. Staff enjoying it as much as the punters.
