Popped in for lunch over Christmas. Pleasant staff and rather a lot of them. The food was decent but portion size was very small. One gets the impression the owners are either greedy or penny pinching, one way or another it won't end well.

Tasty roast with plenty of veg and gravy but why so stingy with the meat? Just one small slice of roast beef! Left me feeling short changed. Would not return for

A short walk from the town train station I visited to meet with friends for lunch. A lovely relaxed atmosphere in the bar and lovely friendly service.

Really lovely hotel (and bar & restaurant). Lovely classic but modern hotel, staff were amazing in everything. We had a very, very minor issue in our room with one of the lights not working and they almost immediately offered to move us to another (nicer) room. The food was gorgeous and frankly probably underpriced for how nice it is. The bar is very chilled and a nice place to hang out in. It's also 2 minutes walk to the train station from there it's 15 mins on the train to Bath, would highly recommend.

Dropped in for evening meal without reservation. Had to wait 45 minutes. Put onto small table near entrance which was poor especially given large empty tables that were unused all night. Nice staff, interesting food but overpriced. Priority was for residents I think. Would go back but with a reservation. The table location they gave us killed it.

Popped in for beer. Lovely interior. Not packed on both visits. Lovely helpful staff.

Always a good pint to be had. Missing the local Kettlesmith beers on this occasion but a decent substitute IPA was available. Warm friendly atmosphere.

A lovely location and great hotel! The staff are amazing, friendly and very helpful. The selection of IPAs at the bar was really good and the staff encouraged me to try a different one each time I visited the bar. I will be staying here again in the future.

Took advantage of a 3 for 2 night stay on our birthday weekend. Very 'Rockett St George' interior design in our waterside bedroom. Quirky and unusual. Good sized bathroom with shower. Luckily managed to bag one of the 5 carparking spaces. Breakfast was not included in our rate but certainly enough choice including veggie options. We ate there one-night and the food was delicious and service first class. Great location, very popular as the Riverside walk to the Tithe Barn (0.5 miles away) starts here and continues to Barton parkland. Station 2 mins walk away and perfect for 10 min train ride to Bath. A special mention to Olivia who serves at breakfast. Queen of smiles and happiness. Would certainly recommend a stay here.Nearby activities: Great canalside and river Avon walks. Try Ravellos Italian Restaurant, very good.
