“Had a great overnight stay in a large comfortable room above the pub. Our hosts were very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Would thoroughly recommend.”

“Not been to this pub before. A couple of our group had and said there had been an ownership change and mass refurbishment in the last couple of years. You could tell the place had worn in, but it was in a good way. Staff were really friendly and accommodating, food was good (honest recommendations received after we pressured the bloke - very good humoured ?) and decent range of local/brewery beer, wine and spirits. Will happily go there againKid-friendliness: There were kids inside and out, within their family groups.Parking: Large car park at the back with direct access to the pubWheelchair accessibility: Access to pub is ground floor, so wheelchair access looked easy”

“Food was excellent as always and service was really good. The baby changing facilities are currently located in the ladies bathroom and if every baby like mine is terrified of hand dryers it can be a really stressful experience. We also witnessed a father having to change their baby in their car boot due to the location of these changing facilities which doesn’t make it inclusive for everyone. A fabulous location to eat and drink, highly recommend however please think about alternative baby changing facility locations to have the all round experience for all.”

“We booked in for dinner and did indeed have a wonderful dinner. The food was lovely and the staff were super helpful but they were just run ragged as there was another big booking, so service was slow. We really enjoyed our experience though and would happily recommend it.”

“Spent a good 6 hours here, playing board games with my partner for my birthday. Absolutely amazing staff, so friendly!The food was incredible! So beautiful and flavoursome! They have a new cake called a hummingbird cake, which is absolutely divine. They have vegan options, I highly recommend the strawberry vegan ice cream, best I've ever had.We even changed dinner plans to stay here instead, and wow! Was it a good idea! The lamb with potatoes was perfect, and the hamburger, proper homemade burger, and the caramelised onion was the perfect taste pallete, so simple yet so good!Compliments to the chef!I can not recommend The Hare & Hounds enough!Thank you for such a lovely day.”
