Maryport St, DevizesPopped in for a Sunday roast. They do a beef or chicken (or veggie) Yorkie wrap, which is a roast dinner wrapped in a Yorkshire pudding... delicious and really good value. Good selection of beers and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

57, 58 New Park St, DevizesIt was our wedding anniversary today so we went to the curry leaf the food was lovely and fantastic and the flavours was spot on the service was excellent and fantastic the staff was very friendly polite and very helpful and went out their way to help you the restaurant was very clean and tidy and the atmosphere was fantastic the prices were very reasonable I would definitely got back there and I would highly recommend them

The Lamb Inn
The Green, Urchfont, DevizesWe recently had a group party in the skittle alley at the lamb and Kevin and Julie prepared one of the best buffets we've ever seen.
It was truly great value and exceptional quality. We live locally and know the pub well but the effort that went into the food combined with the great hospitality, made for a great night.

The touches they did to make my daughter’s birthday special did not go unnoticed and we appreciate it so much. The staff were friendly and helpful.
There is a large selection of dishes to choose from on the menu.
I was particularly impressed with the Thai Katsu curry it was delicious. That was a good quantity of meat within the meal.

26 Sidmouth St, DevizesGreatly improved since I last ordered years ago, kebab tasted amazing and not greasy at all, super crispy and tasty fried chicken and the pizza was super tasty also. The only thing stopping me rating higher is the amount of kebab meat you get isn't much for the price and my partners 12 inch pizza looked smaller than a normal 12inch from other places but apart from that the quality and taste Is the best I've had in a while.

Bath Rd, DevizesWas staying in Devizes for a couple of days and decided to have a evening meal and drink at the Black Horse Inn. I would definitely recommend the pub and would definitely return again.
Food was great (house chilli) service was lovely and atmosphere was nice.
And to finish it off even though it was a bleak winter evening it was lovely to be next to the canal.

Caen Hill Cafe
The Locks, DevizesHad drinks with our family here. Lovely cafe at the top of the Caen Hill locks in Devizes. Picnic tables to sit and look at the far reaching views over the countryside or watch the passing canal boats as they make their way up or down through the locks. Nice flat walk along the towpath into the town centre from here too.

Lots of other choices on the menu but sadly was just visiting from the other side of the country, so could only try one meal. Service friendly and efficient. Couldn't ask for more!

I popped in for one pint but stayed for three,mainly as I was trying to work out if the two good looking barmaids simply had nothing to say to each other or didn’t get on.One was quiet and the other chatty to the customers.Each time the other served a customer the other gave a sideward glance and didn’t utter a word to each other during the hour I was in there.
All in all the best pub I went in during my two day stay and recommend the pub to you.

115 Southbroom Rd, DevizesAbsolutely delicious fish, pies and chips. Haven't tried the sausages but they look amazing. My plaice tasted like it had been caught that day, you could actually taste the fish despite the batter, which was light and crunchy.
The steak and kidney pie was gorgeous, with lovely pastry.
Generous portions of tasty chips, with enough left over, even from a single portion, to provide next day's supper. Staff really friendly and polite too.

27 The Market Pl, DevizesThis is the best coffee joint in Devizes. The staff are fantastic, remembering I have oat milk from only my second visit. It's nice and light, with great window seats, and they do the best cakes. The atmosphere is bubbly and cheerful, with all types of people coming here, and despite the company officially not allowing dogs to 'eat in' the staff seem to turn a blind eye to dogs hanging out here. The barristas really know what they're doing and the drinks are delicious.

20 St.John's St, DevizesDespite the friendly barmaid on duty when I visited Friday and Saturday night and the cosy feeling in this traditional pub it seems the good folk of Devizes have forgotten this place.There were five people in on Friday and three on Saturday and that included me.
Such a shame as it’s such a beautiful pub

11 The Market Pl, DevizesUsed this place recently twice now in the last few days, im currently classed as homeless but not on the streets after fleeing domestic violence. Went in today with limited funds but they gave me extra chips and a curry sauce on them. The guy who served me Mahet? Was very welcoming and friendly and remembered me and he was very understanding of my situation. The food was amazing and the best place for chips. I would deffo recommend and will deffo be going back. Thank you Market Plaice!!!

The Silk Mercer - JD Wetherspoon
St.John's St, DevizesFirst visit to The Silk Mercer was a very insightful one. The rugby was on at the front of the pub so we decided to sit near the back, which is very much a huge children's area! You have been warned! Children seemed to be everywhere, running amok with no parents in control. The staff patiently served around all this chaos, including what seemed like some sort of wipeout course for them avoiding children's books, colouring pads and pencils thrown carelessly on the floor and children on scooters, on the stairs and high chairs randomly left in the middle of walk ways!
So, this is where we sat... But thankfully, given Witherspoon's infamous quick service, our food and drinks arrived swiftly. The vegan burger was a little dry (but a lot of vegan food is to be fair), however the garlic based sauce made the burger. The burrito salad was really, really good avd and I would definitely recommend it!
Would I visit again? Probably, but I will definitely avoid the hell which is the back area!

Garden Trading Estate, London Rd, DevizesWe had a great experience at this Subway despite the negative reviews. There only seemed to be one staff member working when we went. He was very friendly and welcoming (we are from out of town). We got exactly what we ordered. The seating area was clean. After we ordered, a large rugby team arrived, and we watched as the one staff member patiently took their orders and made at least fifteen sandwiches. If you want a quick, reliable, and satisfying sandwich, and maybe even some friendly conversation, check out this Subway.

The Peppermill Town House Hotel Restaurant and Wine Bar
40 St.John's St, DevizesSaturday night, booked a few hours ahead for 8 of us, then at the last minute thought we would be 10 so they added 2 places without any fuss, and then it turned out we were 8 after all and it wasn't a problem. Interesting menu and the food was excellent. I found my chestnut mushroom soup very thick but not especially flavoursome though the melted blue cheese crouton on top was excellent. Also excellent was my linguine with flaked smoked salmon fillet and lots of crayfish. Those who ordered a belly pork starter were pleased as were the two who had pizza mains. Young child who was with us couldn't finish hers but a box was provided to take leftovers away.\nWe all had starters and most had either desserts or coffee and the bill for 8 including nice drinks and service worked out at around £46 per head, which seemed reasonable given the quality.\nService wasn't as smooth as it could be as our waitress was simultaneously training a new starter but it didn't impact the food or our enjoyment of the evening. Parking on the Market Place appears to be free and unrestricted after 6 pm so no problems there. We would happily return.
