Main Rd, Cherhill, CalneWent here for Sunday lunch, and the overall experience was great with some lovely food. The reason for a drop in a star was due to the lack of attention to detail. There were cobwebs in the corner and on lamp shades, and the cupboard/border around the room had a layer of dust on it.There was a small confusion on menus as we were all given a different variety of menu so had to question which one was the correct one.Lovely food, great portion sizes, and no trouble when we asked for some more gravy. The only thing I would say is that it should list what the food comes with, as I was not expecting cheese on the burger as it listed everything else bar cheese, we shouldn't have to ask. I feel that as a restaurant/pub, there should be salt and pepper pots and not be in small paper sachets.However, none of this would stop me from going back as it was great food, a lovely atmosphere, and the staff were polite and friendly.

What a fantastic little gem tucked away in a courtyard. The food was amazing and flavoursome.It caters for everyone whether you're vegan, gluten free, vegetarian or if you like a meaty dish. Tess who runs the place is such a lovely lady always happy and smiling. The young lady who helps her is also vary nice and happy to help. I would definitely recommend this little cafe ?

New Rd, CalneWe booked a table at 9 because we had been out for the day. We were welcomed in with a smile. Our food came out quickly and was just as good as it always is. We ate and drank and did not feel rushed out of the door. They even told us we could sit inside until our lift was here.The girls were very helpful and they chatted about themselves when we asked questions. They are so dedicated to working hard and making everyone happy. Dolphin Fish Bar
2 Newcroft Rd, CalneThis is my local, although I don't do any take-outs often. I always have fish and chips, sometimes mushy pes, sometimes just fish without batter, (ordered at least 15 minutes before.) The staff are always very friendly and accommodating. If having chips I always have to say 'not so many, please!' sometimes I say 'can you give them another minute, please?' Very generous. Always lovely fish. I can't speak for anything else as I only go there for the fish, but always hot and freshly cooked and everyone is welcomed. so nice to have this in our town" Gwyneth

Toilets are reasonable but as to be expected for a cheaper pub. Dogs welcome. Outdoor stage. Notice board kept up to date with local events and services. Good amount of seating and table surfaces. Staff are super friendly. Clientele is a mixed bunch but friendly nonetheless. Pool table and games machine. Central location to shops and other pubs and restaurants. Live music advertised. Do not believe that there is parking on site.

8 High St, CalneBeen getting baguettes and sandwiches from Sam Widges for years and have never had an issue, food is always super tasty and fresh, bread baked multiple times a day so always fresh and tasty! All ingredients are fresh and super tasty! Never expensive! Usually get 2 1/2 baguettes for about £5

3-4 Phelps Parade, CalneFriendly and bubbly staff and always top notch service. Though an unexpected addition to that service today when going in to get a pick-me up coffee and finding a smiley face and “enjoy” written on it which really brightened up a really bad week. Thank you! Unfortunately I don’t know the names of who served me, though it was a tall gentleman and a lady with dyed hair.

20 Phelps Parade, CalneFound this little gem as we were walking around Calne. Lovely and bright as you walk in. Greeted with a cheery Hello. Great selection of cakes - looked all home made. Great selection of coffees and teas. Hubby had the sausage roll which was huge ! He had brown sauce with it. I had toasted tea cake and hot chocolate. All lovely. Great price for what we had. Great selection on the menu to cater for either lunch or just a snack. Loved all the plates and teapots around and the beautiful mirrors

Happy workers with a cheery greeting to all customers, even the more ‘difficult’ customers. Nothing is too much to make people welcomes and to give them the best they can. The bar staff are lovely, always a nice evening when I've gone.Outdoor area with benches for the summer with some lovely tee's for shade and a small outdoor drinking area under shelter.Has great entertainment and the Talbot Fest every year which is worth a visit. For the live music and great drinks.Parking: Parking is around the back, normally plenty of space but it's not far from street parking either.Kid-friendliness: Happy for kids to be there, plenty of space for children.
