“We popped in for food on the last night of our holiday and I'm very glad we did! The Food was exceptional! The staff and service was fantastic they made us feel extremely welcome, like we were regulars and nothing was too much hassle for them!

“A good sized pub with pool tables and big screens and a good atmosphere
I popped in for one pint but stayed for three,mainly as I was trying to work out if the two good looking barmaids simply had nothing to say to each other or didn’t get on.One was quiet and the other chatty to the customers.Each time the other served a customer the other gave a sideward glance and didn’t utter a word to each other during the hour I was in there.
All in all the best pub I went in during my two day stay and recommend the pub to you.”

“Food was good but small portions. I think the head chef was having a night off as the food had a prepared well in advance feel to it. Interesting wine list. Service was ok. Room was good”

It is at the hub of most activities and local life beyond the home.
It smacks of life before the internet when help arrives from all corners when a problem looms!”

“We go most Saturday's and meet up with our friends for breakfast. The food is always freshly cooked and hot and good value for money. The staff are all lovely and akways ready with a smile. Nothing is too much bother. It is a little gem and would definitely recommend a visit. Thanks Becca and Team for always being so welcoming. Jackie”

“Despite the friendly barmaid on duty when I visited Friday and Saturday night and the cosy feeling in this traditional pub it seems the good folk of Devizes have forgotten this place.There were five people in on Friday and three on Saturday and that included me.
Such a shame as it’s such a beautiful pub
Maybe it’s busier during the day,hopefully it is or another pub will be soon be boarded up”
