Lovely place as it's next to the locks. Price great for x4 bacon and brie sandwich toasted with small crisp and tea's for under £25

Despite my muddy dog making a mess by shaking mud all over the place as soon as we got in ? there was a very warm welcome, with reassurances not to worry! Good coffee and fabulous home made cheese scone with chilli jam. They were so delicious I bought 2 to take with me. Thank you, a lovely experience especially as I thought they would be closed in December!

Unfortunately this cafe, which we've been coming to for 7 years has gone down hill. Our last 3 visits has made us decide to go elsewhere. We 1st noticed that our crockery appeared unclean with tea stains and other marks. Also our food was not up to it's usual mark. We ignored it until on the next visit it happened again, this time we noticed there were chips on the bottom of the mugs which are very poor quality. The food was again of poor quality and we decided to say something which appeared to fall on deaf ears. On the last visit the food was again poorand the service was not acceptable. On another point, we've never understood why they put a paper napkin under a toastie inside the cardboard receptacle. It always causes a soggie mess and surely would not be acceptable to food & hygiene inspectors. Very sad but we won't be returning anytime soon.

Great spot to stop on a bike ride or walk out of Devizes ( or the Caravan Camping site 2.5 miles the other way) for a snack or ice cream. Lovely toastie and a sweet potato/red pepper soup.Nice view across the amazing lock systems.

This is the 1st time i have been to this cafe, and probably the last.I ordered a bacon bap 5 minures after they opened and was told they didn't have any baps but did have brown or white bread.I asked for white bread, paid and went and sat down at a bench outside.Within 2 minutes the sandwich arrived and the bread was lovely.Unfortunatley the bacon must have been precooked and was sitting a while and was hard, dry, and burnt on the edges. Most of the bacon went in the bin.It doesnt take long to cook bacon and i would rather wait 10 minutes for a decent bacon sandwich instead of the stuff i was given.

Had a quiche completely tasteless, with a small amount of coleslaw Quiche was burnt around crust. Also had Bacon Brie toasty also burnt. Have eaten here before and has certainly begun to go down hill Will think about whether we will return

Lovely visit, 4 bacon sandwiches & some lovely hot chocolate on a sunny & rainy day. Service was excellent. Dog friendly. Really lovely to stop for a bite & a drink after a nice walk. Brilliant.

A really lovely cafe that's a very welcome stop after a walk along the canal. We've visited in all weathers and is dog friendly when sat outside. Great views too.Parking: There is a car park on the opposite side of the canal, about 5 minutes walk.

Home made soup with bread is delicious. Close beside Caen Hill locks therefore well worth making a refreshment stop on the way.

Visited at the end of a 10k walk feeling incredibly thirsty, stood at the serving hatch as signed, and was ignored by the four members of staff in the kitchen, who knew we were stood waiting, as they came to serve the 3 people in front of us with ice creams. After several minutes we left and got our cold drinks from the spar shop instead. Very disappointed as I live very close by and used them regularly.

Lovely little cafe, with spectacular views of the Caen Locks and beyond. Only downside is the £3 car park charge if you are only there for a cuppa and to view the locks.

Great place to stop for food or drink with a view

Stopped for a drink and ice cream. Wide choice of flavors on offer. Helpful in the heat with the dogs, providing water bowls.
