Rude staff: I was hoping to seat outside, the cafe was short staffed so this wasn't possible - understandable. The woman who was meant to seat you at a table was really rude and confrontational about it, instead of explaining calmly. If this is the atmosphere you have to work in, no wonder they are short staffed ?

Very helpful and friendly staff doing the very best they could whilst living with staff shortages. Good lunch menu.

The staff are always friendly, courteous and helpful. Today they were short staffed. They had put up a notice apologizing for this, but you would not have thought it from the way the delightful young man serving managed things. Full marks to him and his colleagues.

It looks like a lovely relaxing quaint English tea room which is very good for a garden centre but was disappointed in their gluten free apple and plum cake slice. It had a strange texture and lacked flavour. My dad had a bakewell slice which he said was delicious. The drinks were nice. Hot chocolate with coconut milk was delicious costing £4. It's table service but paid at the counter. We have been here several times but this is the first time trying gluten free cake. I am happy to see they catered for different dietary requirements.

More expensive than the cafe/restaurant service slow as were the table allocations Didn't seem to be enough staff to sort the requirements out .
A little disappointed as we had to queue outside even though when we got in there were lost of empty tables. There was some dirt in the windows as well as a dead wasp. We stopped for cake and a drink and the Pear and Ginger cake was amazing however the Carrot cake was dry and heavy (seemed a bit stale) We got missed for service twice and when we went to pay we were made to fill a bit of an inconvenience. It wasn’t particularly busy at there seemed to be at least 6 people about conducting service

There was a notice saying aplogising stating they were understaffed so a full menu may not be available. But all the staff were clearly working extremely hard and were attentive. You wouldn't have known.Very busy and there was a small wait to be seated. You could have a light bite or lunch. We opted for lunch. Our meals were very reasonably priced and perfectly acceptable. However, sadly my friend didn't enjoy her main at all (pesto, quinoa salad) and she isn't a fussy eater at all and felt something tasted odd.Normally I would have mentioned it but the staff were working so hard and were so kind, I didn't have the heart.I do feel that £2.30 for a small bottle of water is unreasonable; which my friend had.I opted for tap water.Parking: We required a disabled parking space and found it difficult to locate one.

Full English was not the best. The Bacon was served solid way way over cooked. Also one person's food in the group their food was cold.I personally would have complained there but somebody else in our group was paying and didn't want a fuss to be made. Also the place was cold at 9.15amNot best impressed I cannot recommend this place

Food was fine. Lack of support for medical condition. All we needed was someone to weigh out the piece of cake so that our son with type 1 diabetes, can eat it safely.“Chef being in mid service” is not a good enough excuse. Just weight the cake and tell us how much and we can worry about the rest.
