Sunday lunch was absolutely excellent. The staff are friendly, the food lovely, and the ambience great. This is a first class country pub, and a jewell in the crown for this area of Wiltshire.
Sunday roast was pretty much spot on. Good quality meats and portion sizes were decent. We all enjoyed the selection of sharing veggies.Sticky toffee pudding was LARGE but it was suggested that the sponge to sauce ratio was off! (More toffee sauce needed!)Lost a star for not offering up Cauliflower Cheese. I mean come onnnnnn, we need that cheesy goodness on a Sunday. The cheeseboard selection looked great so seems a shame not to get some of this into what is a staple Sunday side...read full review

What a delightful find! Food and service first rate. The room was bigger than expected from website and it was gloriously airy unlike so many of the modern hotels today. Only saw the bar as we were leaving but this too was very inviting-must return when in the area if only for a pint.
