Stick with Lavender lodge if you want to eat at Whitehall not the big restaurant.A very different experience and I’m not sure why? Went to the restaurant today at 12.30. No Shepard’s pie as they had ran out (at 12.30!) Ordered ham egg and chips and a cheese scone. The scone was frozen in the middle! Was given a refund after being offered the microwave? Chips weren’t good and ham was tasteless. Overall very disappointing as always had an amazing experience in Lavender lodge.

I had a lovely Carrot Cake which was lovely but the black coffee I had for £2.99 was very disappointing and weak considering I have it without milk or sugar I could barely taste the coffee. I know garden centres are expensive so I only go for a treat once or twice a

We visit after every Christmas to see the displays and lights. It did not disappoint this year. Great few hours. Little hunt for some bargains then a tasty coffee. Would not hesitate to recommend especially around Christmas.

Main purpose of visit was for ‘Storytime with Santa’. Expected it to like a few years ago when we visited with wonderful displays before you got to Santa, a story and a toy to pick at the end. This was nothing like that! Squashed into a tiny room, little effort in decorating the room, kids got a cookie, stork of Christmas tree and a badge for £13. Very disappointing. Felt like we had been ripped off. Whitehall Lacock used to have amazing displays at Christmas. Felt like the place has generally gone down hill in all aspects and is still charging extortionate prices for everything.

Coffee great. Vegan sausage rolls fantastic.

Cafe seems to create queues. Staff seem to be not productive. Two persons making drinks would speed the queueing. Actually glad they'd stopped breakfasts at 11.....as with all the queuing it would have been stone cold by the time you got it back to the table. Think my friend was in the queue for 20 mins or more. Yes it was busy....but their system...if they had one seems counter productive. Not impressed, probably wouldn't bother again if I go back.

Very slow service, we waited for about 20 minutes to get our food, food was nice, a little pricey for what it was.The restaurant was packed, so luckily managed to get a table as someone was leavingDietary restrictions: Milk allergy

Food was fine just a bit noisy as kids were arriving from school to see the Christmas lights

We visited on a sunday, surprised at how busy it was, car park and volume of people. When we got inside we could see why, so many Christmas decorations, presents, lights and beautiful displays. We loved it and we ended up buying some indoor and outdoor Christmas decorations.

Come on Whitehall, it's been the same for year's,not enough staff too much merchandise and no room to browse it. The cafe is a total nightmare maybe an entrance and seperate exit Would be helpful and why oh why do you allow people to bring in shopping trollys when there is barely room to get to a table maybe a trolley park out side the cafe would be helpful. Drinks and snacks available on one side cooked food and drinks on the other side . Food orderd and brought to the table Would Also be a Great Idea why oh why do you not see the benefits of this and not see the need for better options for serving your customers.

Came here to get into the Christmas spirit early, previous displays have been great and sometimes themed but this year seemed disappointing. Lots of Santa's, big and little (my 3 year old even noticed and asked why there are more Santa's) the rest of the displays are just small animals and reindeer (just a comparison from previous years). This year they have also moved certain things around so couldn't find things I usually purchase. The Herb Garden café was the worst part of the day. Whitehall need to consider having 2 queues, one for food and drink and one just coffee and cake as we had people jumping in front of us while we waited to pay (but if I was only getting Coffee I can understand not wanting to queue with everyone getting the (hot) food) frustrating either way! We purchased 3 breakfasts and 3 drinks costing over £40, all food was cold and tasted awful. but drinks were ok. the place was so busy we couldn't be bothered to queue again to complain. Also, there needs to be toilets closer to the café, had to run past tonnes of people to the only toilets on site when my toddler needed to go while in the café. I'm sure on a regular day it wouldn't be so bad but it was so busy and hard to get past people. Outside there are rides for the kids but these are CASH ONLY. very annoying as we rarely carry cash. We had enough for 2 rides between us which kept out toddler happy for 5 minutes. On a positive note, all staff we met were friendly, especially the guy directing traffic in the parking lot and the guy running Chuffy the train.
