Seriously gone down hill. Cannot take an order correctly and then argue about it.After coming here for 20 plus years it's very sad but that will be our last visit. Plus other friends with us have said the same. The fact it was empty on arrival many times, should have been warning enough.Seems the young lady on the phones couldn't care less and rang back to try and argue that the included chips with the curry are free anyway so we shouldn't care that they forgot them. Menu clearly states curry including chips or rice.We ordered Chips for one person and curry with chips for another and only got one lot of chips.Fortunately Skippers has opened and is awesome so we will go there and Rendezvous are reliable, so we don't need to have that terrible experience again.

The food is really tasty, but unfortunately with it being cooked in dirty oil it ruins it:( the place needs gutting! it’s dirty past the point of cleaning it I don’t understand how it’s still open.. it has dead flys and yellow grease everywhere!

Golden dish has gone back to how it use to be. Homemade chips. And for the price can't argue hell of alot cheaper than the other fish and chip shop.please please give them another chance. You won't regret it

Only giving 3 stars for the portion size, price and cleanliness of shop. Food was very disappointing. Batter soggy, fish was tasteless and prawns over cooked. Used to be a great takeaway but not anymore

Not sure what's happened here but it has become a last resort.Chips are average at best, the Chinese offering is OK but the dedicated Chinese down the road is slightly better
