Radnor Arms - CORSTON
Main Rd, Corston, MalmesburyHad a wonderful meal here, felt very welcomed and there was a lovely fireplace creating heat too. The food was exceptional, I had a home made pie and the home made gravy was something else. I would highly recommend this pub, it's a real great place.

The wheatsheaf inn oaksey
Wheatsheaf Ln, Oaksey, MalmesburyIt’s re-opened under new management and it’s been worth the wait! The food is great - everything from a cheeky bowl of chips to a Sunday lunch or fine steak is available. Fantastic vegetarian food and they are very accommodating on allergies and preferences. Thursday is steak night and there’s a quiz and bingo on a Sunday evening. A great vibe, warm welcome, and a proper village pub again. Hurrah!

The Dining Room at Whatley Manor
MalmesburyWe stayed at Whatley Manor for a long weekend to celebrate reaching a significant age with most of my facilities intact, especially my taste buds and eye sight, and what a treat they were rewarded with in The Dining Room. From the moment they arrived with an additional off menu first course as we sipped aperitifs in the lounge, tiny pastry shells with crab topped with individual strands of grapefruit, the flavours exploding, it was a gastronomic experience. The crab was so delicious I wanted a large one as a main course, but more was to come as we moved to the kitchen to meet Monty the head chef for the night, and his team. We love fish so were delighted to have a concoction of mussels in a kind of panacotta, but the couple alongside us, one veggie one prejudiced against fish were also well catered for. Moving to the dining room Clare and her team, Matt, Amanda, Connor and some others couldn't have been more attentive. Each tiny work of of art ( matched by the genuine Miro on the wall above us !) was exquisite. Triangles of potato flavoured with balsamic and stuffed with lobster, layered caviar trifle, a creamy chicken topped with granola, a fillet of halibut with a crescent of mouth watering mash potato, tiny venison fillets. Clare patiently reiterated the ingredients after each course ( one's short term memory goes with age ) and Matt unhurriedly acquiesced with my decision to drink rather more wine than I'd intended. Puddings were equally yummy, accompanied by a naturally sweet wine from the Pyrenees. Yes it isn't cheap, but for ingredients of this quality and the hours of work that go into assembling each tiny dish it's worth every penny. We were so full at the end but I managed both mine and my partners home made chocolate and tiny marshmallow. Truly the finest tasting menu I've eaten to date. Bravo to Monty and all the team. A 70th birthday dining experience to remember.

Rose & Crown
102 High St, MalmesburyWe visited with some friends and our dogs for a lovely Saturday lunchtime. The welcome was very friendly. We ordered 3 fish and chips and one chicken burger with some extras. The owner asked if the dogs would like something as well and kindly bought some sausages for them, which they loved. Our food was well cooked and presented and the chef came out to see if everything was ok, which was a nice touch. It was very reasonably priced and we look forward to visiting again.

Red Bull Inn
Bristol Rd, MalmesburySunday Roast was beautiful, we had Turkey which was moist and full of flavour, good roasties too! My daughter and grand daughter had the beef which was also beautifully cooked. Nice biscoff cheesecake for pudding, the children were allowed to play in the skittle alley when they got bored but came back to the table for ice cream served with a kinder choc bar!! Lovely staff! Nice relaxed atmosphere. All in all couldn't fault it.

Echo Food
72 High St, MalmesburyLeanne and her team catered for a lunch party for my parents’ 80th birthday. Absolutely fantastic on every level. Leanne suggested a great menu which sounded perfect and was completely delicious in execution. Boeuf Bourgignon was rich and tender, a vegetarian lasagne was one of the tastiest lasagnes I’ve ever eaten (meat or veggie) with potatoes and a couple of gorgeous salad side dishes, plus amazing puddings (sticky toffee date cake and a lemon torte) . The team were lovely. Incredibly professional and really helped the event run smoothly for us. Had loads of positive comments from all the guests. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

Spice Merchant Keralan Indian Restaurant
36 Holloway, MalmesburyStaff were attentive and friendly. The food was great and the value for money is really good. As a coeliac I’m most comfortable with Indian cuisine and they have a detailed menu that shows allergens. Because of this where I wouldn’t normally order certain sides they got extra business from me as I felt really confident in what I was ordering and what it contained so had an extra couple of sides.Dietary restrictions: Have a really detailed menu that shows any allergens in meals.

The Summer Cafe
4 High St, MalmesburyStopped here for lunch on a Saturday. Chose it as it was busy with locals and had to wait a short while for a table, but it was worth it. The food was tasty and generous. Not fine dining but would not expect that for a cafe. The staff were very busy but still attentive. Would definitely recommend if in town at lunchtime.

Malmesbury Pizza & Kebab House
41 Triangle, MalmesburyFirst time ordering here and I thought it was great. Kebab meat was good, chips are insane! The pizza was also really tasty, not greasy. The only complaint if any is that the pizza was a bit cold, but it’s freezing outside and we live 6 miles away so no complaints at all. I’d highly recommend

Malmesbury Rendezvous
34 High St, MalmesburyPossibly the best Chinese I’ve eaten as a vegetarian. They have such a good selection of meat substitutes - meat free duck and meat free chicken along with other options. The salt and chilli mushrooms were possibly my favourite. For a Chinese takeaway the prices are really reasonable!
