Food & drinks: Very nice mothers day lunch. We are not local but my partners mother is which is why we chose the Horse and Groom. Beautiful pub with a warm cosy atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Will come again!

I really can't begin to explain what a 'find' this was. My wife and I booked in here for a night on the way back from collecting a new car for my wife 'up North' (we live in Cornwall).The pub itself is stunningly beautiful with large parking area. The welcome upon arrival was first class; both from Kes, the landlady and even the locals who all made way for us on a busy Friday evening at the bar.Food is at an award winning level and we always fear unknown venues as we are pescatarian and choice can sometimes be limited. But, in addition to inventive meat dishes, the veggie options were just rammed full of taste and inventiveness.Rooms were so good that we both slept straight through which is unheard of for both of us, and again, breakfast the next morning was really well thought out and tasty.The staff + food + venue is actually 'so good', that we'll go out of our way to come back here again soon.

We booked a table here for 13 of us, 8 adults and 5 children last Thursday night. The whole team were friendly and happy to help. We had a great area at the back which was a little more private. Between us, there were a couple of allergies and staff were knowledgeable in the kitchen and up front and we were made to feel like this was no big deal which was much appreciated.
