Good amount of vegetarian options. Prices fair, staff friendly and welcoming. Will return when in area again.

Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday. Chose it as it was busy with locals and had to wait a short while for a table, but it was worth it. The food was tasty and generous. Not fine dining but would not expect that for a cafe. The staff were very busy but still attentive. Would definitely recommend if in town at lunchtime.

My mother and I decided to try the Summer Cafe once more hoping that since our last visit a year ago which was very disappointing things may have improved, alas no they had not. A very friendly young lady took our order and promptly delivered our pot of tea which was stone cold by the time our lunch arrived, whilst I appreciate that lunchtime is a busy time we actually waited 30 mins for a simple order yet the people who arrived after us were served their meal first . My mother is gluten intolerant so she ordered scrambled egg on gluten free bread with mushrooms, I ordered a toasted cheese and tomato sandwich on granary bread. After 30 mins I went to the front counter to enquire where our order was and was told it had just been taken to our table. My mother's gluten free bread was barely toasted on one side and not toasted at all on the other side, the mushrooms were disgusting, they were large sliced in half dry and looked as though they had been cooked in the morning and left, the eggs were ok , my mother couldn't eat this as it was completely unappetising, mine was no better, the cheese was sickly not properly melted and was crumbling the tomatoes were far too thick sliced to have cooked, the crisps that were a side along with a small salad tasted stale. This cost £23.90 which would have been acceptable had the food been cooked and nicely presented but it most certainly was not. So this is a cafe that we will never visit again.

Staff were short and abrupt. They were not welcoming or friendly.Food was okay but the milkshake was tasteless and not what you’d expect for £5.

Don't go there any more as the cups often smell like dirty washing up water (slightly eggy) which puts me off my coffee, a friend noticed this frequently too. The coffee is super as long as you get a takeaway cup (which is not for me). Nice cakes though.

Lovely little cafe, great brunch and friendly polite staff. The only thing that let it down for us was it isn’t dog friendly so we ended up huddled up outside the front on a table in front of a busy road with our dog! Unfortunately wouldn’t go again because of this, Road was v. Busy and our dog didn’t like it and it wasn’t great weather…shame!

Was seated straight away.Service was prompt and the order was delivered as requested.Food tasted very good.I had the Vegan Plate and my wife had the Eggs Benedict.I also had a Vegan Biscoff Milk Shake.Only problems were the price and the table. I fully appreciate cafés are struggling at present but £38 for a one course breakfast in a cafe is a bit much.As for the table, the legs were uneven but also the table top wasn't secure. Which meant despite having to sit with our feet pressured on the bottom legs of the table... the table top still wobbled everytime we tried to cut the food or lifted our drinks off the table.Shame really because overall the food tasted great and the service was as you expect.

Coffee didn't arrive until we had finished food.

I had lunch here with a friend. It's a lovely cafe, with a decent menu. The staff were friendly & helpful. We had the turkey & halloumi wraps. These were delicious & came with fries & salad. We enjoyed these. However, I feel that at £14.95 they were somewhat more expensive than other sandwiches & fries & don't understand why. I would definitely go back, bit choose something that I feel to be better value for money.

Despite living in Malmesbury for a long time I haven't visited The Summer Café for quite a while. I came here to meet up with a friend and we had coffee and cake. The service was very friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our cake. It wasn't very busy at the time so would need to come back to see how it is in busier times. The cake was lovely and the coffee (I had a latte) wasn't too strong or bitter as is the case sometimes in other cafes. Will definitely be coming back.
