what a lovely place. Was the day before mothers day and they had a few problems with the kitchen but had a few beers so was happy. The staff there are amazing and see AGA what a women ran round like a looney to make sure we was happy. had breakfast in the morning and once again staff was there for a chat and make it feel like home. Only there for one night but felt like i wanted to give Aga a hug goodbye. will defiantly be back for a weekend away from city life. Thanks Aga and staff xx

good for young families, staff are okay. we made a booking but when we arrived they said we didnt and they were very dismissive and quite patronising and rude until they realised they spelt our name wrong and said when you book again ask for me which isnt a good testament to staff. We felt very rushed even though the restaurant was approximately 30% full if that. The foods not as good as last time we wentKid-friendliness: good play area

Don’t waste your time! Was told one of our party was GF and asked for a GF menu. This took 20 minutes before I said don’t worry I’ve found it online, asked a question about GF menu, which the lady said I need to ask the kitchen and never came back. Asked next waiter after waiting another 15 minutes. He took our order. We was there a total of an hour and 20 minutes. Only having a starter, when the food came out it was all cold!! There was no more than 10 tables in the whole restaurant. Asked waitress for the manager. I was watching to see if she actually got her and the manager walked over rolling her eyes. I told her the food was cold and to take it off the bill as we wouldn’t be eating cold food and she just kept repeating “okay it’s fine” I understand you want to calm people down. But don’t just keep saying it’s fine when it’s clearly not. Ruined the whole evening for someone’s birthday! Defo gone down hill. If they can’t cope now good luck anyone who’s booked in for Mother’s Day.Dietary restrictions: Awful! Staff have no Idea and avoid the GF questions!

It's been several years since my previous visit and I have to say there has been a vast improvement. We visited on Monday evening and there was a very nice atmosphere and it was warm and welcoming. The food was delicious and very reasonable priced considering the huge portion that you get.We had 2 mains with a side order, 1 soft drink and a bottle of Wine, all fur under £50, well worth the money

We visited on a Sunday at 7pm, there were other diners when we sat down but before we got dessert we were on our own (hence lwr stars 4 atmosphere), but we all enjoyed our menu choices and our server was great, we'll be sure to visit

We stayed in the hotel next door for three nights and were of course able to enjoy the excellent food in the Pub & Grill.We were thrilled with the food and the preparation. It is recommended to reserve a table on Fridays. We were a bit disappointed that evening because we were ignored by the staff. Nevertheless we give 5 stars.

It's totally disorganised and extremely slow service. Poor quality food. Order incomplete. Unable to poach an egg. What they eventually produced was not a poached egg. There was no explanation as to why the bread was only toasted on one side. Sausage was plated that had been cut in half. No apology given for anything. It all seemed a joke to the staff. AVOID.Parking: Only a small number of spaces
