China Chef

We decided to call China Chef for our chippy tea on a busy friday night. We were able to call up and place an order in advanced so that we could collect later in the evening. The food was still piping hot on collection, and was of fantastic quality and taste. The homemade curry sauce is to die for, and I wish I knew their secret recipe.All for a very reasonable price as well.10/10. 5*****

The Winterbourne

Great food, I have the spinach and mushroom sauce with a fried egg for start and then 24 day old steak with purple sprouting broccoli and pepper corn sauce GF too. Again I have to highly recommend for great food.

The Town Hall Tea Rooms

I have been visiting this café regularly and taking friends since October 2023It is small and cosy and run by A lovely friendly Sri Lankan family. The food is excellent. The prices are really good coffee is great cake is amazing it is the most friendly café everIt’s a hidden gemThe Food is home-made They do the best breakfasttagliatelle Is my favourite For lunch, all the dishes are Just amazing !

The Five Bells

A lovely pub with stellar service! The staff were so attentive and kind. I wish I would have gotten the server's name but we had a toddler with us and she was so kind and lovely toward him. Food came out very quickly and was delicious. Cosy atmosphere with a nice log burner. Excellent gluten free options. Highly recommend.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free buns and fried chicken

The little Gem

We tried this café for the first time on Saturday and will be using it all the time from now on. The food and drink is amazing, and we had a lovely chat with Gem the owner who served us. The decor is beautiful and the café has a lovely atmosphere.

Il Camino Italian Restaurant

Had the most wonderful dinner this evening for mother's day. Visited with my partner and son. Food was absolutely delicious fresh and reasonable price. Lasagne was the best we've ever tried - Thank you ! The staff were friendly and could personally reccomend dishes. My only request is that you offer a children's menue - the same items but in smaller portions. My son is too small to manage the adult portion but too big to share some with me ! We look forward to returning and can't wait to try dessert !

The food was very nice and the staff were pleasant, but the service was a bit slow and the orders were also a bit mixed up. Overall it was a pleasant atmosphere and an enjoyable meal.

Jubilee Lake Tea Room

This was our first visit with our grandson. The food was good, honest cooking at a great price. The kitchen was spotlessly clean, and the staff were very friendly. Our first visit certainly won’t be our last! Thank you.

Dandelion Gifts & Coffee Shop

4 of us had an afternoon tea just before Christmas. (Sorry it's a bit late with the review)It was one of the best I've had! Sandwiches were so lovely & fresh! Plenty of lovely cakes. Wonderful welcome as usual. Service is great.I will be booking another one very soon for a special occasion!Thank you.

Ganges

Been coming here since 1993 always get looked after at Ganges. food is excellent and I get treated like family. They have a personal relationship with all their regulars which is great.

The Sally Pussey's Inn

We went off the cuff and was seated straight away .I couldn't fault a thing ,everything was A1 ,well done to all the waiting staff and chefs ,keep up the great work .

Schoolhouse Restaurant & Hotel

Un endroit magnifique avec un accueil très chaleureux. On se croyait en famille. Une literie très confortable et une chambre très cosy. D'excellents plats et un petit déjeuner royal. Un calme reposant et un superbe paysage. Karen la propriétaire était extrêmement gentille et son mari un Chef talentueux. Merci à eux et gros bisous à Fred le chien affectueux.Franck et Valérie

New Gourmet Oriental

Food was brilliant, ho fan and duck pancakes were especially good. Would highly recommend. Delivery was ahead of the time given, so another bonus, and driver was lovely.

Lovely place to get your foods but will advice to order online before going to the shop for collection as making order over the counter will make you spend more time standing there because they have no seat for customer but they are customer friendlyParking: Parking space for general public so you not guaranteed of a space,restrictions in parking by law

The Angel Hotel

Comfortable room, slept well. The mini fridge, iron, and ironing board came in very handy. There were also tea & coffee facilities in the room. Our room was off the courtyard and very convenient and easy access to the highstreet with all the shops etc. Our room was a little tired in places, and we were unable to open the bedroom window, so hubby was a tad warm at times.We would definitely stay again.

Churchill - Pub & Grill

what a lovely place. Was the day before mothers day and they had a few problems with the kitchen but had a few beers so was happy. The staff there are amazing and see AGA what a women ran round like a looney to make sure we was happy. had breakfast in the morning and once again staff was there for a chat and make it feel like home. Only there for one night but felt like i wanted to give Aga a hug goodbye. will defiantly be back for a weekend away from city life. Thanks Aga and staff xx

Oriental Aroma

This place is incredible. I've not been able to have Chinese takeaway for years because of my dietary restrictions but this place has a whole huge menu for both gluten free and vegan. I'm totally spoiled for choice here. I tried 6 different dishes and it was all absolutely amazing and as good or better than any takeaway I've had elsewhere before. On top of that the service was great and the prices are also very reasonable. I ordered online in advance and when I arrived the food was ready to go straight away. I just wish I lived closer so I could go more often.Vegetarian options: There are loads of vegan options. Lees Fish & Chips

BEST CURRY SAUCE IN THE WORLD, cheaper than other chippys and nice food. Only downfall is that it is never ever open, I often travel 25 mins to this chippy and always check the website before leaving to check its open. Google says open then I get all the way there and entire shop in darkness. Very frustrating. Now says temporarily closed, so who knows how long for. Very vague.

Chillies Indian Cuisine

Great to see that Chillies is back to it’s normal great food and service after a bit of a slump. Under new management and looks like the problems are behind them. Delighted for Mahmoud’s family and the new team.Excellent food and great choice.
