I went in for a coffee and chocolate brownie this afternoon while my car was in for some work, excellent coffee, delicious brownie and friendly service. It's a nice place to sit and have a drink while watching the world go by. ?

I've visited Mabel's a few times over the last year. It's conveniently located on the corner of Newport Street and Devizes Road. They've great tasting coffee, and wow, a superb Pain au Raisin - tried one today and loved it.A flat white and my treat cost a reasonable £5.40I used the conveniently located on-Street parking across the road.Just be aware the coffee shop is card only.Definitely recommend and will continue to visit both here and their sister shop in Tadpole.

Lovely experience and atmosphere with the children too.

Fantastic well made coffee. This guy knows his coffees. Deserves all the support. Cakes to die for!

Coffee is poor for an outlet that 'specialises' in all things coffee. I don't think the machine is up to the job as it is rarely hot enough, plus it is thin and not as good as the previous blend that they used to use.I don't bother with the pastries as they simply don't sell enough. Therefore, chances are that if you buy one it will be 2-3 days' old and a bit chewy (as I and others experienced).Ben the Barista is a nice guy and cares a lot. Nice atmos and it could be a really good place, but need to get the product right and the rest should follow.Understand though how difficult it is to run a small establishment, but please address the coffee issue.Parking: You can park along Station Approach.

Pretty nice little café. Coffee was good. Staff are friendly but not enough of them, so service was a tad slow. They don't make any of their own food, all is brought in as far as I could see, which for me is lacking in a lot of cafés, not just this one.

Have visited several times during August - always really good smooth coffee. Great service and always greeted with a smile.

insipid coffee, (varies depending on who serves) and all the ambience of a self service checkout. i can only imagine that people who live close by have so much spare cash and poor taste they don't care. Coffee in this country is pushing towards £4 a cup. it's scandalous and there are no guarantees that anyone even knows the difference between a flat white and a late, other than the shape of the cup. much as i have to do go to a bland chain, at least i know i'll get the coffee i ask for. sad.

Sandwich was soggy and tasteless. Don't think any food is freshly made. Coffee was very good. We sat outside but had to carry our own drinks and food out with no tray. This was difficult as we had a baby in a pushchair with us. Won't be going back.

Excellent coffee and a lovely almond croissant. Good service, and you can sit indoors or outside. Good location

Ordered a take out coffee. Have to say, it wasn’t the best. No aroma and it was very weak. Wouldn’t recommend on this basis.

I'm a regular at Mabels, I usually go for lunch during the week and absolutely love the Ciabatta sandwiches! The staff are always wonderful, the coffee is great and it's always got a friendly atmosphere. The only downside is the extra charge for non-dairy milk however this is a minor complaint given how lovely the café is.
