Tip top food Imaginative menu Great service What’s not to like? Well worth a visit - especially for their specials (pardon the pun)

This was our first visit and although okay, it could have been better. I don’t ever recall being charged for chutneys to accompany poppadoms anywhere else before. However, the restaurant was clean and tidy.

The food here is always good, we come here regularly now. The best vegan options Ive found in a curry house always well presented and friendly staff

Had such lovely food on Tuesday evening. Food was hot and delivered on time with excellent quality ingredients and amazing flavours. Thank you Raj!

We ordered a takeaway. As the food came it was piping hot (it wasn't cold). We ordered and everything tasted amazing. We had ordered a chicken jallfrize, chicken biryani, sag chicken, lamb buna and chicken 65; it all tasted amazing.

I'd say the food was OK. The trouble wasn't the food. It was the service. We waited 30mins for someone to take our order. The tables were so small. All the food was put on the table in any spare gap they could find . I hated eating so scrunched up! I had to give up some dishes before I finished just to make some room. No atmosphere at all. A lot of staff walking around but doing nothing! Don't Have the chilli chocolate naan bread. I love spice, but that was ridiculously hot to be enjoyed. A waste of £75.i wouldn't return

I’m not one to normally write a review but felt I had to after having such a lovely meal with my husband at the weekend. The food was incredible! Having grown up in the Middle East I can be quite particular when it comes to Asian food but our meals exceeded my expectation. In addition to wonderful food, we found all of the staff very, polite attentive and knowledgeable of the food on the menu when it came to recommending something new for us to try. Cannot wait to visit again soon!

Since being away from India from past 4 years, I have tried multiple Indian restaurants who charge decent amount for pathetic food which is far from anything Indian, the Raj on the other hand is simply brilliant!! The food alone is tasty enough to defeat any competition by miles!! I happen to also be a student of hotel management so I exactly know the amount of hard work they put on the plate. We visited Raj to celebrate Father’s Day and boy, for the first time in my life I felt as if my family did indeed celebrate Father’s Day. If you are looking to eat Indian 5 star standard food, you got to try Raj. I also had the privilege of meeting the Chef - Ravi, such a humble guy from Hyderabad who has worked in Taj hotel in India for which people struggle to get an interview but he cooks with a lot of passion and love which is evident in what you receive on the plate. Some may find the Menu to be a bit expensive but the food that you get is also premium quality, it’s like the difference between Premier inn and 5 star Hilton hotel so in the end it feels worth it. Portions are well served. Tried the Biryani and believe it or not, this was not a quick cooked pan Biryani, I was served proper Dum Biryani, every grain of rice was aromatic and had the spices on it. Simply brilliant!!! I’ll surely be visiting again and getting the food delivered from Raj.

Ordered delivery last night was quite satisfied with my starters and but then came a HUGE disappointment with pan seared sea bass, mainly due to excess salt, and disappointed with oily not properly seasoned vegetables which was cooked with it.

Visited on a Sunday evening and it was very busy. Staff were obviously a bit thin on the ground so service was a bit slow but friendly. Food was tasty. Not the best curry Iv ever had, but nice enough.

As you enter the restaurant you are struck at the decor. The place looks very attractive with nicely laid tables and also the cleanliness was very impressive. We three adults and two young children tried to eat at this restaurant on someone's birthday a couple of weeks ago. The welcome was just casual - why are you here! Seated on the long sofa type settee which lacks back support because of its depth proved very uncomfortable. The food was ordered and was delivered in good time. The food was just basic, nothing extra ordinary and the tandoori naan was the worst. I do not think the chef really has any clue what a tandoori naan is. It was absolutely RUBBER AND CHEWY AND MISERLY. The serving staff never looked like trained waiters. Should we eat here again? NO, NEVER. AND WILL ASK ALL OUR FRIENDS AND ACQUAINTANCES TO DO THE SAME.

We see so many good reviews and we was honestly absolutely devastated as we travelled over an hour to visit. We was seated and had our drinks order taken after 5 mins of being seated. We then ordered poppadoms. (The spicy one are nice I will give them that) about 10 minutes later we ordered our main course. 45 minutes later and we still hadn't been served our food. We questioned this and was told there was a bigger table they needed to serve first. We was only a table of 3, another 15 minutes had past and we still hadn't been served. Finally the meal come out. It was horrific! We absolutely love chicken tikka masala, we've eaten this in many many places and really aren't particularly fussy with it at all. This was disgusting, it tasted like butternut squash soup with added chicken. We didn't even try the chips, rice or naan. We simple had to leave. It was awful. Service is also very very poor. A couple sat next to us also left after only having drinks and poppadoms. So we said we will pay for the drinks (soft drinks 2 cokes and a lemonade) and a few poppadoms. - £23!!!!!!! No joke!! Would never go back!

Fabulous meal at The Raj. This was our first visit but as we were in Swindon for the evening we looked up places to eat nearby and thankfully this place came up. Service was great, the food was absolutely delicious. It’s a shame we live 2+ hours away because if we lived nearby this would definitely be our go-to curry house. Definitely recommended.
