Absolutely wonderful place to stay and eat. Everyone was so friendly and the service was great. The food was good, with a wide choice of dishes, only sorry we couldnt stay for sunday lunch. The rooms were spotlessly cleanReally dog friendly (as opposed to dog tolerant) especially as we have 3 - 2 large standard Poodles and a Cockerpoo - and often find it hard to find a place that will take 3 dogs. Very accommodating for our impromptu family gathering for 16 (coming in from US, Brighton and Rome). The conservatory was very lovely and the food was delicious. The portions were so generous, and we were grateful for the kindness, flexibility and joviality of Chef Jim!!

I haven't stayed at the Dove Inn, I have just been there for lunch. The food was delicious. Now they have stopped doing food. This is very, very sad, as there is nowhere in a 20 mile radius, (at least) that could better it. How rotten for the staff, losing their jobs just before Christmas. How very unkind of the owners. Hotels are ten a penny, good food and lovely staff aren't!Annette Gane Kingston Deverill.
