We did a spa day at Dormy House, and it was such a treat! It was like a warm hug this winter! The outdoor hot tub, with the fire was stunning. The facilities and treatments were top-notch and we felt so relaxed and rejuvenated. Big thanks to Bobby and Fiona at the Spa for looking after us! Dinner at the Back Garden restaurant was utterly delicious. Marius, looked after us so well at the restaurant. And Alex from the bar made the most delicious margaritas we’ve had! Highly recommended!

Absolutely stunning, luxurious afternoon tea. Lovely warm welcome. Great service, although I felt the table should have been cleared before we had our champagne (not sure if that's proper afternoon tea etiquette or just my preference?) I had the gluten free option, which was fabulous. Even the doggy bags were beautiful ?

People looking for a job, please stay away from this place!I am a former employee and from my own experience I can say that I strongly advise against working there!!!!!!

We really enjoyed our Afternoon Tea here. It was £80 (£90 with service charge) for what is pictured plus a piece of Sausage Roll each and 2 Scones each. We were full by the end of it and didn’t finish our scones. The only thing we didn’t like was the chocolate orange cake as it was very dry. The Hoogly tea pots and timers we enjoyed so much we’ve ordered some ourselves!

Amazing short break. Staff couldn't be more helpful and pleasant, nothing was a problem and everything done with a smile.Great breakfast with complimentary bloody Mary station.Spa facilities were brilliant, loved the out door hot tub.Electric car charging on site with 4 chargers available. My cable didn't work too well with them as connectors a bit short but no problem as they lent me their spare one.Lovely cookies and gift bag when leaving. Can't wait to go backRooms: Spacious, comfy beds, fast free wifiComplimentary water, coffee, tea fresh milk and soya alternatives.Noteworthy details: Complimentary electric car charging. Ask in the hotel if having problems with cable as older ones might not make contact with the connections

I called in at Dormy House to ask about organising a celebratory experience for when my partner hopefully became my fiance. I couldn't have been helped more! I met Chris, the hotel manager, and was welcomed with warmth and friendliness. With the help of him and his team I was treated to a fantastic night and following day of attentive service and truly wonderful surroundings. Open fires, comfortable furniture, stylish and sophisticated décor, and a beautiful spa.I would enthusiastically recommend Dormy House to anyone who wanted a treat. From a cosy fireside drink, to a memorable stay in this beautiful hotel.I'll certainly be returning!!

Bar and restaurant experience is a shambles. Awkward, sterile environment with poor standard of service from staff.Andre a ‘manager’ was incredibly rude at dinner and spoilt the entire birthday evening. I will never go back (and it’s on my door step). The chap serving us brought over the wrong wine twice and said the ‘sommelier said it’s pretty similar’ twice after I mentioned it’s not the same wine I ordered. When I asked the price difference again he went away and came back to simply reply ‘it’s also a pretty similar price’ in the end it was awkward we just asked him to open it. Such a vacuous place which is a shame.

A wonderful hotel with exceptional staff! Nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay at Dormy House. The Spa was very clean and the staggered entry times meant that it never felt too crowded. The only downside was that there was no availability for treatments during our stay. I had tried to book a few weeks in advance but I had no luck getting through to anyone via telephone. There was also a gym on site which had excellent equipment. The dining options were lovely, including the breakfast where there was a wide variety of dishes on the menu which were all clearly very fresh.I would not hesitate to recommend Dormy House!

‘…and relax’ is what they suggest on the handwritten note which greets you when you’re shown to your room, and that’s exactly what we did. It’s hard not to in the comfy and tastefully decorated bedrooms - they have thought of everything! Huge beds piled with mountains of pillows, comfy, stylish armchairs and plenty of space. Oh but the bathrooms! We were lucky enough to stay in ‘the Attic’ which has a double Monsoon shower and a huge bath which was long enough to drown in. Along with countless fluffy white towels, bathrobes and slippers, it was difficult to do anything but relax. We ate in the ‘Back Garden’ restaurant which is stylish and well-spaced. Food was excellent and service friendly and efficient. Breakfasts are also served here and the choice is amazing. All the staff members we encountered were friendly and accomodating and I would struggle to find any negatives. All in all it is exactly what they set out to be - a home from home.

outstanding in every way. I could not ask for a kinder more helpful staff, outstanding food, cute room. I would love to live here! NOT ONE NEGATIVE. Thank you to all of the staff for the outstanding care you gave my small group of women. I will be forever grateful!!!!!!

Took 3 attempts to book a Mo package with room 36 (roll top bath) but finally did it.The service is so exact and flawless it makes you feel really special. Some small area of the hotel showed signs of wear but overall it was a great experience. My wife was on crouches and the staff adjusted and ensured every part of the stay was comfortable for her.I did have a weird sticky "something" on my bath sheet which was not good .

This is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. It’s a good location: easy to reach with a real country feel but just off the A44 and only a short distance from Broadway. We believe there are a number of interesting walks (and you can borrow wellies in inclement weather) but the temperature was close to 30 degrees when we stayed so we opted for the spa instead. The spa was quiet and spotlessly clean, with a sauna and steam rooms, and everything we needed was to hand. There was also a pretty good gym and changing facilities. The building is interesting and very old in parts. There are lots of ‘nooks & crannies’ where you can enjoy a drink. Our “Splendid” room was excellent: a good size, comfortable, also very clean and with a good shower. We particularly appreciated the complimentary half-bottle of champagne to help celebrate our wedding anniversary. Breakfast was pretty good: everything, other than fruit juices, served fresh/made to order. Our dinner in the “Mo” restaurant was so good, we’ve posted another review just for that. The hotel has a wine dispensing machine and we pre-ordered a card to purchase some but there were no descriptions. We were familiar with a couple of the wines but not the others and ended up not buying any. If they provided some descriptions we would probably have enjoyed a glass or two. The staff were generally very professional but also relaxed – a good combination. All-in-all, a very pleasant stay and excellent hotel. Very few places are, however, perfect and there were occasions when the reception staff weren’t as ‘customer friendly’ as we expected. We were greeted warmly on arrival but when we said we were thinking of eating at their sister hotel, The Fish, and asked if it’s lounge was open that evening, the receptionist said he didn’t think so but we could look on their website. It would have been nicer if he had offered to check! Later, having confirmed The Fish’s lounge was open, we said we were going to eat there but really liked one of the Dormy House desserts and wanted to have that and a cocktail in the bar when we returned. He seemed a bit perturbed and went away to check with someone before saying we could do that but only if we got back by 8:30 and sat in the restaurant. We couldn’t see why our plan should cause any difficulties. In the event, we were back by 8:30 and the staff happily served our drinks and the dessert (which was, by the way, very good) in the bar. This receptionist was much more helpful regarding our walk to/from The Fish. It is only about 1 ½ miles but he warned us it was very hilly – and, oh boy, he was right! When checking out, we enquired about any offers/packages for a return visit and were again told to check the website! The receptionist said that very politely but it would be been nicer if she also had offered to check. These were minor issues but ones where a more customer friendly response would have been appreciated.

5 star spa, 2 star food. It was such a shame to leave dormy after a wonderful spa morning with a bad taste in my mouth. The food tasted like it was cooked in batches a day or two before then re-heated under a lamp. Sent the food back and had no offer to re-cook and was not offered to have something else. Poor show really
