We had dinner here on a wet winter weekend so we weren't able to enjoy the views, so will endeavour to go back during the summer months. Firstly all our interactions with all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Secondly we were all really pleased with our food - the choice and quality was excellent. The veggie burger was enjoyed, the rest of us had seafood dishes which were very tasty. The portion sizes were also very generous.

I went to The Mount for a family Sunday lunch a week ago I have been going and reviewing over 9 years. What makes it particularly different is not any of the usual characteristics - The food which has always been delicious - The wine (not chosen my me) that was perfect for the dish. - The service which has always been great - The environment has always been warm - The views which have always been a joy. No, it is the consistency. I know when I go to The Mount it delivers every time.....as they say on the tin.

The Mount Inn has been a long term lunchtime favourite conveniently located halfway around the Broadway - Tower - Snowshill - Stanton - Broadway walk. We drive out for dinner too. My lunch yesterday was an utterly delicious 'proper' chicken pie with the best-ever chips, a pot of 'to die for' gravy and a generous bowl of fresh, beautifully cooked vegetables, all served with a beaming smile by the ever cheerful, efficient and lovely Pip, my favourite landlady by a country mile! What is there not to like about The Mount Inn?! I love it!

Very nice pub with lovely food but from an extensive menu or probably 20 dishes there was 1 vegetarian option, a veggie burger. Really disappointed to see not even a token nod to vegetarians, they had 3 kinds of roast dinner but no vegetarian option either. Wouldn’t recommend for this reason.

Enjoyed a fab Sunday roast in this lovely pub in an idyllic setting. The portions were very generous, service was great and they looked after our Jack Russel, and he even had his own menu lol. Will definitely return if we are back in the area.

An excellent lunch with friendly service and some local beers, arranged for a group of us by a friend who lives in the village. Stanton is predominately a village of honey coloured stone properties that lies on the Cotswold Way which passes by the pub, which sits high up a steep road. Even if driving there’s a steep slope then steps down to the entrance. Lots of outdoor seating for summer views. Portions are substantial - we saw a mezze platter at a nearby table that would easily cover more than the 2-3 stated, and all of our mains and desserts were excellent. The main menu is very short, but the specials extensive and varied with many fresh veg seeming to come from the pub garden. I suspect booking is essential

Stunning views from a pub in a pretty Cotswold village. Only called in for a drink. Saw some delicious looking Sunday lunches being taken to tables. Hope to return for one myself!

I just wish I had read all the reviews about how rude the manager/landlady is!! From when we first stepped into the pub we were greeted with a frosty reception and no smile. We sat outside and the view is lovely but unfortunately the terrible customer service ruined the whole experience for us. We politely had to complain about one meal as the fish had a funny taste but the manager was very defensive and basically wasn’t going to listen to anything we had to say! No apology was given at any point. We asked for a refund on the one meal which was given. Just very rude and lacking in basic customer service which you’d think most pubs pride themselves on. A smile and friendly service goes a long way!!

What a shame this pub is in A beautiful location great location looking down to the village. But the pub is in need of renovation the windows are rotten the fascia’s need replacing the slabs need replacing and walls need jet washing. If this was my home I would be ashamed to invite friends round. So why would you be open to the public. It’s disgusting. It could be great pub but needs a lot of work doing to it. I wanted to come with my girl friends but wouldnt

Called in for a a drink at lunchtime. Lady who served us couldn’t have been less friendly. We were unable sit on the terrace as there were no parasols and it was very hot. So we had to sit in a shady garden area while the terrace with the great views was completely empty because of the sun. £6.40 for 2 lime and sodas was on the expensive side. Won’t be going back.

We were hiking/walking a circular route and after coming down a long hill this pub was a welcome sight. We discovered later that it was the last place we could have eaten/drank before we made it to Broadway. We found a table outside in a gazebo. We ordered our drinks and food at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and patient. The servers were personable as well. Our cured meat platter was excellent and very filling for the two of us. Our drinks were good as well. Food came promptly and we were well looked after.

Great location. Views are excellent. Staff could not have been more helpful and fitted us in for dinner at short notice. Food was good and portions are generous. The menu includes some dishes which use fruit and vegetables grown at the pub. Would definitely return

Beautiful setting overlooking Stanton Village and saw sun set.Pip and team were very friendly. I had duck comfort and a beautiful large array of green vegetables best any restaurant has supplied . Mum has sea bass followed by a huge meringue Eton mess and I had a delicious lemon tart. Would definitely recommend it. Plenty of gluten free options too.Parking: Parking at restaurant via a steep uphill drive.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of gluten free options

STAYING AT B&B IN STANTON , WENT UP TO INN EARLY AS OPENED AT 6PM TO FIND , YES WAS BUSY , FULLY BOOKED INSIDE , THOUGH TOLD WE COULD FIND A TABLE ON THE TERRACE GET MENU AND EAT THERE , THERE WASN'T ANY TABLES FREE ,WE HAD OUR DRINKS AND WANDERED BACK TO BAR AREA WHERE THERE WAS ONE TABLE NOT SETUP FOR EATING AND NOT IN RESTAURANT WE WERE ABOUT TO SIT DOWN AND AND WAIT FOR A TABLE, A MEMBER OF STAFF SAID IT WAS OK WHEN ASKED ,THEN HAD A CHANGE OF MIND AND TOLD US WE COULD GO TO AN OUTDOOR AREA ACROSS THE ROAD TO SIT AT PICNIC TABLES , THOUGH THEY HAD PUT A SIGN UP INDICATING THAT THIS EVENING THEY WERE NOT SERVING FOOD THERE , WHEN ANOTHER SIGN SAID THEY DID , HOWEVER FROM THE MOMENT WE FIRST ENTERED THE MOUNT INN , THE BAR STAFF WERE VERY OFF AND UNHELPFUL WHEN WE ORDERED OUR DRINKS AND ENQUIRED ABOUT A TABLE FOR A MEAL , AND BEING PUSHED OUT TO AN OUTSIDE AREA NO ONE ELSE WAS USING WAS,NT GOOD. FROM WHERE WE WERE SITTING YOU COULD SEE PEOPLE EATING WHILE OTHERES SAT AT THE TABLE AWAITING THEIR TABLE INSIDE , BUT BY THE TIME WE COULD HAVE GOTTEN A TABLE WE HAD TIME TO REFLECT ON THE WAY WE WERE TREATED AND HOW THE PLACE WAS RUN WE DECIDED TO HAVE OUR ONE DRINK AND GO BACK TO OUR B&B , AND HAVE TO SAY WE WERE WALKING THE COTSWOLDS WAY AND OF THE MANY INNS WE VISITED ALONG THE WAY , NOWHERE ELSE WERE WE TREATED SO ABYSMALLY , SO FOR THAT WE WOULND'T RECOMMEND THE MOUNT INN FOR GOOD HOSPITALITY

Mount Inn was excellent. Lovely meals of bangers and mash, and fish and chips was stock standard. It yummy. The plum crumble for dessert was outstanding- get it! And the views are wonderful. The service team were great and attentive, and the food was served promptly. (You will need to book ahead, you are really taking a chance if just try and walk in without a reservation)
