Food was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a table for 12 and the food was bought out quickly.We will be coming back.

Couldn't fault anything we had a warm friendly welcome and was shown to our table, the food and service was excellent the only thing that let it down was quite a long wait for our meal and we were the only ones in there at the time but overall an excellent visit.

The food was excellent. However, between our main course and desert we waited over an hour and had to ask two workers to remind them to bring us our desert. No compensation given whatsoever, and when questioned about getting some money back, the worker stuttered and then avoided our table.

Came here with my family and was surprised at how good the food was and reasonably priced it is. Genuinely impressed. Burger for £10.15 was very decent and the kids menu was excellent with lots of variety.I also thought it was going to be full of old blokes boozing but was a nice crowd family environment. A new secret garden for kids when the weather improves. Very pleased I came here and not the harvester.Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu, outdoor play area. No crayons or pens but an activity sheet on back of kids menu

I met my friend here for a xmas get-together we were seated at the table there was a band playing and it was so loud and the singer sounded like a cat being strangled to the point we couldn't hear one another after choosing off the menu we opted for a curry my friend went up to order and returned back and said they had run out this was a 18.30pm booking. we then choose again I had the burger it came out in a bowl with no garnish something on the bottom of the burger that resembled rotten lettuce the burgers were awful frozen cheap rubbish and a handful of French fries my friend had the pie which she said was OK we didn't fancy a desert at £5 a head so we opted for a coffee I went to the bar to be told the coffee machine was broken so all they had was an instant Americana so we declined paid and left for half a cider and lager and two meals it was £28 what a rip off never would I return no customer service and prices such a shame as it has such potential.

After a slight misunderstanding over some food. The staff were fab so friendly and couldn't do enough for us ,we were given a free drink, food was tasty and wholesome would remmond a visit to anyone

A large party, 55 of us, for our Tarantara Christmas celebration. The staff coped incredibly well with the large number arriving all at once, and most of the food was delivered to tables in good time and enjoyed. A little surprised that our tables had not been set before our arrival, and that there were no Christmas table decorations or crackers to support the festive nature of the menu. We were very impressed by your live music of the night, what a great lad! Disappointed that so much effort was put into keeping you right up to date with orders and cancellations and yet the deposits were not adjusted. It seems rather greedy! We also ended up with a shortfall despite most people adding tips to their balances which I am investigating further and shall be asking for a full bill for the total order, not offered at the end of the meal, in order to confirm that there are no addons sneaked on, and so that we can understand the shortfall

Our table was booked for 1pm however at 14.10 I had to go and seek out a staff member to see where our food was, she came back and said its next thing out the kitchen in about "10ish" minutes, there was no apologies or explanation. The restaurant was not full. I absolutely understand when staffing is short however I do not except not being communicated with or treated with common courtesy.We will not be revisiting this restaurant.It is now 14.30 food has left the kitchen for other tables however our food is yet to arrive.

Lovely place to stay. Staff are very professional and very very pleasant. Nothing is to much trouble for them. Would definitely visit again. Has everything you need to enjoy your stay.
The rooms are very warm, comfortable & hygienic. Food and bar service is excellent with special thanks to James, Abi & Chloe for their personal touch from the Rooms, to the Bar and to the Kitchen. We popped in on the off chance as we were passing. First time we had visited. Staff couldn’t have been more friendly, service was excellent. Food was outstanding. Pub was immaculately clean.Parking: No issues with parking

The warm and friendly staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Although it was a busy Sunday Lunch time the service was very quick and remained friendly and helpful throughout our visit.We all had the Sunday roasts and I had the vegetarian option but the food was beautifully cooked and delicious (the Yorkshire puddings were fantastic) only criticism was there wasn’t much gravy on the lunches when they came out but we asked for more and an extra jug was bought out almost immediately.We then all had the chocolate fudge cake for dessert and it was amazing.In conclusion, great food, great atmosphere and excellent service.

Our third visit in about 3 months. Four of us in the group. 3 had the lunch menu. 1 had Chicken and Bacon Salad from the main menu. A couple of sides to supplement the lunch. Food was very tasty. Staff very friendly and willing to help. If we did not live 45 minutes away we would visit more often.

Awful experience!!! This was to be a celebration meal with family booked in advance. We were advised that although there was another booking of 16 people that night they could accommodate our family group of 8 in the restaurant by putting 2 tables together. When we arrived for dinner we were told there was no room and we would have to sit on high stools in the bar with no waitress service. Some of our group due to health struggled to sit on the stools and had to be helped. Our meals were wrong and also cold. We were given a bottle of wine and no glasses. The bar staff were extremely rude and I accommodating. We did not receive the full 20 percent discount for staying in the hotel. On top of this the fire doors near our room were continually propped open and the residents key code door open to all and sundry. They do not provide dairy alternatives, it is milk or soya only. The toilet flush did not work properly and the heating system noisy. Dreadful stay and meal never to be repeated!!!
