Had a really lovely meal here on a Thursday evening. Obviously a popular place with regular customers as saw staff greeting other tables who had been before. Husband is gluten free, menu was clearly labelled and felt very confident when we spoke to the staff about it. Great food, great people. The food was delicious, two meals from the lunchtime meal deal and two from the main menu. We received a very warm welcome and all the staff were attentive to our needs and extremely polite. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and we will certainly return. Excellent service all round, thank you.

So sad I forgot to take pictures! It's the first time we've been here and we all really enjoyed it. We nearly all had carvery and let's start with the Carvery Chef. He was jolly, kind, cheeky and engaging.Now let's move onto the food. It was homely, tasty, lots of choice and the meats were all tender.Now let's move onto the service. Ordered from here a few days ago, although my food was a little late (10 minutes or so) it was well worth the wait. They even added free strawberry ice cream because of the delay. We were staying around the corner so decided to order on Just Eat and collect ourselves. It's takeout only, but the waiting area is clean and orderly. My Chicken Jalfrezi was spicy with chopped green chilies and fresh chunky onion and green peppers. The Lamb Biriyani was milder but really good too. The plain naan was a little on the tough side. Compensation popadoms was a really nice addition to start. Very reasonably priced too.

She made us aware of offers, checked to see we enjoyed our meal as well as tending to other customers and clearing tables. She was very dynamic and appeared to genuinely enjoy her job and serving people. She’s a credit to the Hungry Horse chain and hospitality and catering industry.Parking: Plenty of parking and well lit.Wheelchair accessibility: Double doors and ground floor level with clean toilets.

My first visit to the Hop Pole and I was really impressed, it looks welcoming from the outside and we felt at home in the bar area exactly what you want from a pub. There is a beer garden at the rear of the pub with some interesting metal sculptures. The real ales are top quality with Wyre Valley brewery being the regular cask beers with some guest ales too. This pub is a 5 minute walk from Droitwich railway station with regular trains to Worcester/ Kidderminster/ Bromsgrove and Birmingham.

Lovely place to come and have a hot meal, coffee or cake with friends. I visited with my mom for lunch and we were not disappointed. Both of us had the half breakfast, which is by no means a small amount. We had our plates loaded up with all the usual items and a piece of the optional black pudding. The food was served hot and delicious. All the meat products are locally sourced from a butcher and are of a high quality. I also liked how you can get extra hot water to top up your teapot or have a free refill of filter coffee. We will definitely be coming back.

I last reviewed this pub 4 years ago as a 3/4 star.Having been going more frequently recently, I'm updating my review to a solid 5.The decor inside the pub is a throwback to how all pubs used to be (see video) and is maintained and looked after throughout. The current owners are extremely welcoming to anyone who passes through the front or back door. There is space to go as a large group or just with a friend (or even on your own as there are plenty of locals there). There is a rear outdoor seating area/smoking area overlooking the canal. The facilities are looked after and they smell clean. The beer selection is quite accommodating for all tastes and it tastes clean too. The drink selection is vast if you like certain spirits or mixers, this is a place for you. With a TV in the largest area of the bar, which provided well during the 2022 World Cup.Staff look after and accommodate all. The locals are very welcoming and friendly. In the summer there is an area downstairs which has benches, next to the canal too.A short walk from the town centre, so close to all methods of transport. The on-road parking outside is accommodating if you decide to drive or the snall car park around the rear. The current landlady and landlord have exciting plans for the pub and how to improve it too.There are treat jars on the side of the bar if you decide to bring a pooch with you (there isn't many dogs in the pub and they tend to stick to one side, so if you have a fear of dogs don't let this deter you!) And access to the local canal pathway or pathway back to vines is immediately outside.Definitely recommend visiting this pub if you haven't in a while! You'll be pleased!

Post Xmas meant stocks were very low. As we'd come out specifically for. Starbucks I had to have a Almond Milk which I don't like. Also no decent knifes to cut the hot food. Staff were very friendly and helpful though. Just a little sub par for Starbucks.

What a wonderful gem. It was our first time here and we weren't disappointed. A warm welcome with lovely canapés and homemade bread and butter followed by 3 amazing courses.Scallops, halibut for main and beautiful lemon, meringue for desserts. The food here is excellent, although not as hot as some Thai places we have eaten. There are plenty of menu choices for vegetarians and vegans. The tofu with cashew nuts was really very good. The chicken with chilli and basil was nice but not very hot. The staff are friendly (although take care of the upsell) and the decor is beautiful. It's quite a big place so if you have a choice, ask to be in one of the warmer rooms in the winter. We were seated in a very lovely, but very cold, large room.
