We came here with friends over the Christmas period, very busy, The food was good, and the staff were helpful . We have been here before and would be going back.

Visited last night unfortunately the main meal was very poor, battered fish was verging on burnt ,fish very dry, really supprised it was actually served to us . We didn't feel comfortable to complain as we were out with friends and didn't want to cause embarrassement We were unable to each much of our meal and left most of our it, sadly I don't think we will be returning

Expensive . 2 of the lunchtime starters were small but tasty ,the third starter was equally small but tasteless. The Shiraz was excellent. Service was fine .

What can I say about Chequers, the staff were welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful, the food was amazing, we ordered the sirloin and it was cooked to perfection, the desert was delicious and the place was cosy, we have found a place we will visit as often as possible.Parking: Plenty of spaces

My wife and I and 4 friends meet there for lunch every month if we can and always have a wonderful afternoon. The food is top class and the staff are brilliant. I always look forward to going there and have never been disappointed.

Our food was really lovely. Beautifully presented and we both enjoyed our courses. Unfortunately the young man that served our table was extremely rude. Our first visit here was ruined by his unconscious bias about us. We left feeling awkward and embarrassed. Very sad that in 2023, his preconceived ideas were so obvious. I would like to have visited again to sample something else from the menu but I will never put myself in that position again. What a shame that 1 member of a team can ruin all the good work that the rest do.

Amazing place for lunch. Food was brilliant. Service was beyond excellent - they dealt with our coeliac member of the group absolutely perfectly. Supplied separate menu and checked regularly that everything was OK. The atmosphere was just right, bubbly but not loud. Couldn't recommend it more completely.
