Passed this place a couple of times and saw their “Dirty Chip” logo so instantly thought “Street Food Vibe” which I love…Decided to try it when we were in the area. Quiet Saturday afternoon, nobody else in but us. Ordered Hunters Chicken Dirty Chips and Nacho Dirty Chips with a side of pulled pork. The Hunters chicken was ok to be fair. But the rest was diabolical. The tomato sauce on the Nacho chips was just that. Cheap cash and carry tomato sauce. And it was the same for the BBQ Sauce on the pulled pork (which was swimming in it). Both got overpower by the vinegar in the sauce. I would have complained but we didn’t see the server again after the food was served.Better quality ingredients are key. Try using fresh guacamole and fresh tomato salsa. Not from a bottle! Won’t be returning or recommending.

Booked Sunday lunch here as the Royal Oak has now a range of dining experiences on offer from curry and steak nights and Sunday lunch in addition to a menu of pub favorites. The food was well prepared and plenty of vegatables to chose from. Great value for money. The service was friendly. This local pub needs to be supported if it is to remain a local facility for the community.

Great pub, great food. Only criticism is that the food took a while and wasnt overly warm when arrived. Also no kids menu or dessert menu. Worth a visit again, but wouldnt rush back.
Great carvery on a Sunday. 3 Choices of meat and loads of sides. Perfect pub for a Sunday watching the football, carvery and few beers! Deffo will be back.

Tuesday is steak night at The Royal Oak. We had two tender well cooked steaks with crusty rolls, tomatoes on the vine, home made onion rings, peas, chips, and fried onions for ONLY £15.00. Compliments to the chef!
