Great service from Elsa . Tasty hot food. I had fillet. One of the best steaks I have had. Portion size perfect. Highly recommend

We went on a Thursday evening for the Chateaubriand special (£30 for a couple!) and it was sensational! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was fantastic. The managers passion for the concept was infectious and the service generally was spot on. There were a few locals at the bar, which is a very good sign and there was a good selection of beers. Pretty much perfect.

Food quality is excellent, ingredients very very good. Disappointment that half of starters were off the menu. Service was adequate as one staff member was running all covers and the bar. Atmosphere wasn't great as it was lacking a buzz, more staff would have helped but appreciate the cost balance. £55/head is pricey for a pub meal. Would we go again? Hmm...

This was our first visit to Ounce at The Dolphin. We weren't disappointed. We have been to Ounce, Worcester on many occasions. Brad continues to be the perfect host and very welcoming. Anastasio & the Team were excellent in looking after us and did so with some polite conversation. Incredibly personable. The food was amazing! We have never been disappointed with the high standard that the chefs deliver, on every occasion. The vibe of the new place is very much more relaxed. Love Worcester, but have to say, felt very much more relaxed here and so much so, that we didn't rush off after our meal, not as though we ever feel that we have to rush of in Worcester :-).Brad & Team, you've done brilliantly at Bishampton. We shall look forward to our next visit!

My husband and I visited Ounce at Bishampton for the first time today; wow! The wine was excellent and my husband loved the Ounce lager. The staff went above and beyond and worked as a very tight ship. The roast dinner was the best roast we have had - and we make it our Sunday mission to find the best roasts in Worcestershire!! Special mention to Lizzie who gave us a lovely welcome and to Ollie our server who was so friendly and helpful - such a pleasure, especially as you were super busy. We can’t recommend this pub highly enough - thank you fir an amazing experience!

A great place to go for Thursday Chateaubriand special. Have been here 4/5 times on different occasions, there is always good service, great atmosphere and tasty food. It is always busy so make sure to book.

As an ex head chef when it comes to food I can be picky and am not easily pleased how so when we eat out I can sometime be left disappointed and deflated …… NOT on this occasion we visited for my birthday lunch and it was outstanding this was one of the the top 6 meals I’ve ever had ! I was a little nervous ordering the butchers choice steak on the £1 an ounce offer as I was worried it wouldn’t be great quality but I had not need to worry at all the steak was wonderful and perfectly cooked !! I up graded my fries to Parmesan and truffle ones which I recommend everyone does and ordered 2 sauces as I love sauce and couldn’t choose the bone marrow jus is so so good and the peppercorn sauce was just perfection the best I’ve EVER had as was the porn star martini ( and I’ve sampled a fair few in various places lol ) the staff were friendly and service great ! I only have 2 regrets …. 1) I realised after we left the waiter held out a card machine and I just tapped my card …. It didn’t give me the chance to add a tip which has bothered me ever since as they really did deserve one ( we will be back so will make sure I take some cash and leave a better one ) 2) I didn’t have room for pudding so next time I will skip the bread and jus starter which was lovely but I need to try the puddings ! Looking forward to trying the Sunday lunch see you soon

I don't normally review many places but, felt this deserves one.Possibly the best Sunday roast I have had and the 3 others who I dined with agree. We all went for a Sunday roast. Two of us has lamb. One chicken. One beef.My lamb was cooked beautifully and the vegetables were spot on also.Service was great also. Very professional and welcoming.I would highly recommend to anyone. The only negative was having only 1 slice of lamb but apart from this, dinner was perfectWe will be back?

A late Saturday afternoon lunch with my 84 year old mum. She'd never had such a lovely steak she said. Lovely cauliflower cheese and burgers too. Ambiance and service brilliant, clean and with comfortable chairs. Well worth a 30 minutes drive, we'll be back!Parking: Sloped access from car park to front door

We have been to ounce twice before, the meals have been ok. We went for the Thursday night chateaubriand. When you order this you only get an option of medium rare or medium.i like my steaks well done, so no blood dripping round the plate. I was told it would be medium at best. So as a customer your choice is ingnored, It's like ordering a gin and tonic but being told your having a pint instead. The food came out and it was not good, very rare in the middle. We had to try and turn it on the serving plater to see if we could get anymore colour on it. But it didn't work. In the end I just cut all the cooked bits if steak off and left the rest. There was a lot left. Unfortunately we won't be going back, such a shame as the service was good. The place itself is nice and vibrant. If they would be less snobbish about how they think people should have there food cooked instead of listening to the customer and serving it how they actually like it, then I'd be more than happy to go back.

Recommended by my daughter who visited two days before. Very quiet on this particular occasion but delightful staff, clean and very nice decor and ambience. Had the lunchtime menu option for rump steak and skinny fried. Steak cooked to perfection, tender and probably one of the best I have tasted. Free car parking with an interesting outbuilding with a display about wheel making. Will definitely return soon!

Nice food but the greens were very undercooked in fact they crunched. One of our party asked for more gravy but were told they would have to pay for it. This is a first, I accept extra for veg but not gravy. Bit pricey for a village pub or is it supposed to be an experience.

Fantastic service by Brad & his team only bettered by the outstanding quality of the food. A lovrly village pub with a good selection of real ale, lager & spirits

I booked for a Wednesday evening and TBF the place was busy so i am glad i did. We were greeted by very friendly and attentive staff and shown to our table with our drinks order swiftly taken, our drinks arrived shortly after, we ordered a Fillet and the Dexter sirloin, Both were cooked exactly how we ordered (Rare - with real quality beef its the only way) you could have cut either with a butter knife. Overall the service was stop on, our server was helpful, knowledgeable and a credit to the Ounce Brand. The food was what i would call "Special" not your normal pub food, you pay for what you get. I have seen a few reviews and truly wonder what they expect? McDonalds is only a few miles away.....
