Wonderful welcome from Mr. and Mrs. Really Nice as I entered. It was late in the day and most of the day's food had been sold, perhaps an indication of how nice it was, which was confirmed by some locals I sat with. Gotta say that the coffee was excellent ? however there was no attempt at a swirly of any description. Mrs. Really Nice told me they don't do patterns atop the coffees as the taste of the coffee is enough. Nice try, Mrs. Really Nice but the lack of swirly cost you a star! If you're a coffee lover Grab a Greek is worth a visit.

We have eaten here at Ounce several times. Consistently excellent and certainly sets a high standard to follow. Tonight Chateaubriand perfectly served. Booked for an early sitting as it understandably gets busy. Very well done to everyone. No photos - too busy enjoying our meal.

OK place to eat, food was decent, staff were friendly on the whole, only issue is the breakfast. There is no full English on the menu but instead a partial breakfast requiring you to pay a lot for little extras to make your meal into a full English. This unfortunately makes it far too expensive. I ended up paying well over £30 for two custom breakfasts and coffee... If they add a decent standard full English at an normal price we will be back, until then its a no go....

First time visiting today and I loved it. The staff is very kind and friendly. The menu is full of delicious drinks and food, it is very difficult to choose just one item! Iced coffee with caramel syrup was delicious and the tiramisu sliced cake was sooo tasty too. I also couldn't leave behind the Banoffee croissant which I took home with me. It was the best croissant I've ever had. Will be definitely visiting again soon!

We csme her last weekend for a family meal, and safe to say we will definatly be returning. We have a fussy eater and the chef went above and beyond no meet her needs.
Would definatly recommend the fish & steak , hard to find somewhere that cooks a medium steak to how we like it. And her delivered. Great atmosphere throughout. Staff were very friendly . Lots of drink selection. Very clean and tidy. Cant wait to come back!

We had a delicious meal this evening for 5 of us. My own meal consisted of melt in the mouth large torpedo king prawns, followed by Nuea Phad Nammun (succulent strips of steak sautéed with oyster sauce, onion, pepper and spring onions) with delicious Khao Phad Goong (fried rice with large prawns and herbs), finished off with a lovely moist raspberry meringue.

The excellent meal was good value, the service didn’t leave us waiting too long for our food, and the staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly, 5*.

Visited The Bell on a busy weekend. We called in advance and got a table as per our request. Staff were polite and very engaging. We spoke with the owner who was quite chatty and welcoming. Food was great and the ambience in the restaurant was just right. No crowding and good service.

We were looking at Sunday roast and boy did we find one. Top marks to the chief, 3 sizes of roast the regular was huge, fair prices. Garden could do with a bit of a spruce up, large cark park, you need to book for Sunday roast, but worth it

The Angel Hotel

We haven't stayed at the Angel since before Covid so this week was our first time back in over 5 years. Wow....what an amazing stay this was. Every single member of staff was so helpful. Right from checking in. Nothing was too much trouble for the amazing staff whether they were reception, house keeping, cleaning, bar, restaurant or anything else. So friendly and polite and eager to help in any way. It was a real pleasure to be with such a wonderful team. The room was fantastic as well. My wife has some mobility issues after being run over by a car 6 months ago and so the Great Comberton room with accessible walk in shower etc. was perfect for her. Everything spotlessly clean and tidy, and very, very comfortable and quiet. Excellent parking as well which was very helpful for us. We just could not fault anything. A perfect stay and we will certainly be returning as often as we can. A massive Thank You to every staff member, it was a pleasure to meet you all and we're looking forward to being back soon.
