I don't give reviews lightly, but in this case I have to. We went just for a meal. It's near a main road and a small industrial site, but that's the worst I can say. Once inside that goes away. The welcome is warm and friendly, the service is excellent with the young lady being very attentive to our needs, the food was cooked to a T and portions well beyond ample. I can't recommend The Rose and Crown highly enough. Well worth a visit.

We went for Sunday lunch as having had casual m id week lunches of delicious beef sandwiches, decided to try their Sunday roast. Really fantstic, beautiful beef, lovely roast potatoes, new potatoes, plenty of veg, yorkshire pud. I, normally hate thick gravy, but it was very tasty. Phillipa who served us great too. Butty Bach Bitter very good too. Definitely going back.

Went in there for Sunday carvery, the food was good value, the only thing that was a bit off was the guiness, firstly it came out with a massive head (3" ish) I asked them to top it up, which they did but it went flat and didn't taste great quiet quickly.
