Went for pre Christmas meet up with family. Had to book well in advance and take a 6.30pm booking but it was worth it.Had the hot cheeseboard sharing platter and it was delicious, especially the blue cheese, could have just eaten that all night!! Came here for a Sunday roast and we were not disappointed. We were seated in a lovely area of the restaurant with plenty of space but yet still lovely and cosy with festive Christmas decor. We had the sirloin of beef and pork belly complimented by seasonal greens, red cabbage & creamed leaks with extra gravy. We also ordered the extra sides of cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets. Everything was perfect, the menu was spot on with choice of beef, turkey or belly pork and when it was served the portions were generous without being overwhelming. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough, service, food, wine, ambience - everything was perfect. I have no reservation whatsoever in recommending The Friar Street Kitchen to you; it’s fab and very groovy.
