An interesting evening....started of well but as our food was served a waitress spilt a drink all down my back.....an accident i know and except but they just offered another drink yet i was soaking to the point i sat in wet trousers and had to ask them to mop the floor around me so i could sit back down. I had to change my top and steel my daughter hoodie before finishing my then cold dinner.....to follow we then had a drunk man keep coming to table asking us very random questions yet we we were in restaurant and not bar area ,a very uncomfortable evening in all sadly but i think maybe a one off with circumstances.I wont be rushing back sadly

We popped in for a meal and drinks on the evening of 23 February. We were particularly well looked after by the bar Manager that evening, who even offered to bring our drinks to the table to save waiting at the bar! He made us feel very welcome. A superbly pleasurable evening.

Terrible service and food.Taken to wrong table twice and asked if i was sitting with a random couple who were sat there.... Twice!1 set of sides for 5 adult sunday roasts on Mothers day meant we all had 2 tiny carrots and 2 roast potatoes each. Forgot one of the extra sides we ordered had to ask for it and it came half way through the meal.Forgot one of our desserts completely with no apology or offer to get it, just took it off the bill. Then charged a £14 service charge... For awful service ?

It's okay but not great. A lot of over-conceived style with little real substance. Our starter (sharing baked camembert) wasn't even a whole cheese which at £15 is poor value. But that didn't matter as we sent it back; the bread it came with was suitable for construction but not eating, if I tried to eat it my dentist would have been delighted by the extra work it would give them. The staff were good and there was no question of us paying. However for a chain to produce a £15 starter that is barely edible is not good and to call it a baked camembert when it was just a small part of a camembert is borderline misdescription. For main we had a "Famous Hanging Kebab", which was good but not enough to be 'famous' and the accompanying coleslaw and humus portions were very mean. And why hanging? Kebabs work just as well laying down horizontally and I did not want the contraption it hung on cluttering the table between me and my partner. We ordered an extra round of drinks after as we had time to kill before our performance started. By the time they arrived 15 minutes later after we had reminded them, we had to neck two overpriced glasses of wine far too quickly for enjoyment. You dine at one of these chains for convenience, dependability and efficient service, not fine dining. For us it failed on all counts, the main course was good enough but overall a thumbs down.

The cocktails, live music and drinks were great. But 45-60 min wait on table service drinks is a little extreme.

Our meal was lovely.Atmosphere and service was excellent .Would prefer the music to be a bit more in the background when having a meal but the staff did turn it down for us.

First visit yesterday! Lovely surroundings BUT the bar tender was the most miserable uninviting person I think iv ever experienced! We were not alone in this either he stomped around the place offending customers with the attitude so much so people literally came in and walked straight out after encountering him! No name badge I'm afraid, but was of Asian decent id say. 3 cocktails ordered no frills no garnish no straw, not even a funky umbrella! Management need to take note first impressions count and you need to sort this issue out before you lose much more business for sure!

The Botanist my first visit on valentines day with my partner. So the venue was modern trendy. The first thing I noticed was how sticky the floor was when walking to our table. The staff were very friendly and polite. The starter was camembert. The bread was extreamly crunchy and hard. The croutons were also very hard. The main was skewers, lamb meat balls , chicken mushroom and Peper theis was cooked the best. We also had pawn skewers too. The chips were over cooked. Nan bread had been salted. Pudding was Chockolate and honeycomb with icecream this was not bad at all. Will I go back I doubt it.

Incredible interior design, the music was superior and the food was amazing. Would highly recommend the Hawaiian Rum Punch and Strawberry and Cucumber Breeze cocktails. Our server was wonderful, the food came quickly and was delicious. I had the chicken skewers but as I don’t like veg, wouldn’t recommend for picky eaters. Was still delicious anyhow.
