Went here for the first time as our local fish and chip shop is closed temporarily.Beautiful piece of cod and a light batter.Most of the chips were chunky and crispy, although my husbands portion could have done with being cooked for a bit longer as a little pale.Wouldn't stop us from returning though and would recommend to others.

Wednesday afternoon got takeaway first time ordering from Harroden fisheries. Fish and chip was amazing, owner very friendly and chilli sauce was very tasty. Definitely order

I promised the owner I'd leave a review because honestly I was really bloody pleased with my food.I used to travel the country for work, and fish and chips has always been a favourite of mine so I've had a hell of a lot of the stuff, but it's always been frankly pretty bland.Fish and chips is normally cheap, fills a hole but you don't necessarily think it's that tasty, and it's normally been sat around under a heat bulb for hours and is luke warm and mushy.But this was so different, it was cooked fresh, the whole meal, which I liked. You can actually taste the cod, the batter was crisp and not soggy and the chips tasted like potatoes.It's not the cheapest fish and chips, but the quality warrants the cost in my eyes.I can honestly say as long as the quality remains the same as I've had twice now from these guys, I won't buy anywhere else.Too notch
