Three of us went and only one enjoyed the food, starter was supposed to be potato skins but more like jacket potatoes, the steak was very chewy and quite inedible, I went there on good recommendations but won't be returningParking: Parking spaces were fine but car park quite dark so very difficult for disabled to be on even ground

Lovely friendly, family pub with good quality food at reasonable prices. Visited on mother's day and although very busy we still experienced good food nicely presented without waiting too long. The staff and service, as always, are very attentive and helpful. We'll be back!

We were a Mother’s Day party of 21, so quite a challenge for the staff, you would think? They could not have been any better. The food was amazing. Probably the best roast beef I’ve ever had. Everything was delicious and there were loads of vegetables, extra gravy and huge Yorkshire puddings. Nothing was too much trouble for Josh and his team. We will be back next year 100%. Thanks Josh and the whole team.

Another great pub meal tonight. Food is always spot on with a proper pub menu, all home cooked. Specials board also always great. Top service. Will be back again and again. Highly recommend!

Very disappointed we were at the Guinea last night for my birthday meal which my daughters arranged there was 8 of us first of all we had to wait 1 hour for our starters then was told they had run out of steak what restaurant runs out of steak then my daughter wanted sausage and mash then got told they hadn't got any sausages then to top it all my son in law had garlic bread and found plastic in it the service was terrible we complained but the lady who took our orders found it funny but we wasn't laughing so he refused to eat anything else there I am thinking of going on 3 counties radio about this because it is disgusting but the man behind the bar was very helpful but the young girl the waitress didn't seem to know what she was doing maybe she was new there so we certainly had a bad meal and evening

A change has taken place more cosey friendly atmosphere great beers and ales on draft . Haven't had food yet . Plenty of parking to accommodate all . Eating area looked well presented. Staff are polite and also if wanted friendly banter all in all great mixture I shall return .

My Sunday roast beef dinner was fine; my wife's roast chicken meal was acceptable, if not stunning. However, the cask beer was not good; whoever manages the bar was seemingly happy to offer beer that was clearly tired or worse. Can't see the point in having four beers on offer if the throughput is not there to ensure that the barrels are emptied whilst the beer is still in good condition?
