What a lovely find! So nice to visit a village pub and have good food that isn’t a “roast” on a Sunday. We loved the Greek mixed dips to share as a starter which included tzatziki, humus and pitta bread, and the feta cheese cooked in the oven with tomato and garlic was delicious. Our mains included mousaka, chicken souvlaki and a chicken burger, all of which were great. The service was good and we loved the friendly ambience. We will definitely be back.

I took a couple of friends who were visiting from the USA, for a meal in one of the pods available at the Anchor. The service was excellent, the pod was comfortable and we had access to a wireless speaker, so could create our own ambience. Nice touch. There were controllers for the heating and the string lights, again a nice touch. Friendly and efficient staff, rounded off a lovely evening. A great night out was had by all. Oh yes! Almost forgot. The food was great too!

Fantastic food and great service by all the staff, very attentive to our needs with small children and 20 adults. We were in the marquee and it was lovely and warm with a small park outside. The manager was very helpful in organising Santa for the children and was on hand to see all went well. Highly recommend.

We visited the Anchor today for a family meal to celebrate my granddaughters 7th birthday. We pre-booked a table for 9. We arrived earlier but were shown to our table by a very welcoming man who showed us to our outside Pod. It was lovely inside, a lovely table and chairs, a heater, a speaker to play our music through Bluetooth. The 3 ladies that served us couldn't of been more helpful. They even light a candle and sang happy Birthday to my granddaughter. The food was perfect. We'll definitely return and would highly recommend it to anybody. Thankyou all for such a wonderful time and fantastic service.

Have been visiting the area for family reunion. Booked the Anchor for a meal. The restaurant was busy but the staff were well equipped to deal with us. The staff were very nice but I found that the selection of beers was very poor. I found that the food didn’t live up to the expectations of what you’d expect.

After visiting back in Sept 2022 after our ‘paper wedding’ with family, we decided to come back to the anchor to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Service was great, even though the restaurant was super busy as well as a party being held in the garden. The food was fab but unfortunately my Mousaka wasn’t as good as last time and although fresh and piping hot, did taste a bit bland. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the anchor to friends and family and will be back soon.

Very nice on a sunny day as you can eat in the garden, I would recommend booking though as it gets very busy at the weekend.
Came in for food with friends, place was very busy. Ordered food, was told there was a bit of a wait, happy with that as food was fab and we had a few beers while catching up. Staff very friendly and helpful, not too expensive, great to see a village pub so busy. Lovely back garden, will be back

I love it here, I go with my dad and grandad for a meet up. Us pups are very welcome and there’s puppy chews on the bar….I had salmon this time and it was yummy Dad and grandad were happy but I was happier.
